Course is in good shape
Great day of golf, love this course. its well kept great scenery and challenging in length. Long hitters will love this course
Good Course
Course in great condition minus a couple of greens. Very tight in place watch for wayward shots tee box directly behind green on some holes. Plays longer than number. Staff was excellent cart person was great.
Nice Course
First time playing. The course was in good condition; some of the greens needed some work. Yet the heat has been pretty brutal. I look forward to playing again.
Great time
Awesome time course in great condition beautiful and challenging.
Not worth the money
Greens in bad shape, very slow, lots of dead spots, no one fixes divots. Fairways and tee boxes in ok shape. Played liked a 25-30 dollar course, paid 90 when you include parking fee, way overpriced for the quality compared to places like echelon, Chicopee Woods, even Bobby Jones.
Layout wise - Course too penal for my tastes, lots of 400+ yard par 4s uphill, blues play more like 7000 with lots of forced carries and hazards. If you typically play 6600ish yards, would move up to the whites. I am a robert Trent Jones fan but there are a few holes where the geography just does not suit a golf course (hole 1, 9)
Good service - Marshall kept up pace of play and saw the cart girl 3 times.
Good to go....
Classic old school layout on the Stonemont, course was in great shape, 2 greens where kind of iffy, but they are working on them, nothing to worry about. No pin sheet, all flags were Red, no front, middle, back so adds a little more difficulty, something they should most definitely address. I'll be back, since i bought the season pass $40 for park entrance.
Great
It’s great golf course and enjoyable.
But entrance at the gate they charge $20.00 per car extra.
Great time was had by all, never crowded in the afternoon
Terrific coursr
Staff were very welcoming, walked me through the layout of the course . A few slopes and water that was challenging but the course was well design and easy to navigate.. I would recommend it to any beginner that want to move up in their game
Overall satisfactory
It would be helpful to have fairways marked for distance other than 150 marked!!
Staff was excellent! Course has some rough spots particularly on greens but looks like someone purposely damaged them. I don't believe it's because they don't care!
Would not recommend
Where to begin? We played Lakemont side. First you have to pay $20 to park at a golf course. Driving range was complimentary which was a plus except they have matted tee boxes. It was almost 100 degrees and we saw the cart girl on #2 and that was it. The entire place seemed understaffed for a Sunday that they also had a tournament going on the Stonemont side. They have a snack trailer at the turn and it was closed when we made the turn. Green fee was $75. The tee boxes on every par three were in disrepair. The greens were the worst part of the entire experience. While they appear to be in good shape they were mowed way too high and putts rolled like putting on a shag carpet. Sand traps were not in great shape and one I landed in didn't have a rake. In summary, there are way better courses for $95(parking included).
Greens in bad shape
For the money the greens are just not what you’d expect. Obviously the cool weather hasn’t help the Bermuda greens at all. They are so bumpy, slow, and just not worth the price.
The rest of the course is in pretty good shape and such a great layout with the best views of Stone Mountain
Not sure if I would have said yes.
When we went up to tee off we were told we would have a third playing with us. We were not asked. The two groups of two in front of us were asked and said no to having a third (was told this by the third have way into the round) we believe this happened because of our gender. It wouldn’t have been bad if the guy hadn’t gave advice on almost every shot. He also wanted to debate the new golf rules that came out ( leaving the stick in, dropping from knee high) this did not help keep our pace of play.
Since we play together a lot and not against each other, but against ourselves to be told 18 times that we should play against each other was not only rude but redundantly rude.
Did like the pace of play put of the regulars on the course.
