Currently Unplayable and Won't be Played by Me Again
Every green is being redone at the same time. This alone would be reason enough to not play this course, so why was the rough not cut also? Was it laziness, or did they feel that they needed to compensate for all of the shortened holes? It was challenging enough without having accurate yardage anywhere, that there was no reason for the rest of the course not to be maintained. I booked this online and nowhere did it say that every green would be under construction. If it had, I wouldn't have attempted to play it, but I would have come back because I like the course and it is conveniently located for us. As it stands, I don't know that I will play here again. When we arrived we asked the guy in the proshop where everyone was because it was considerably less busy than usual. We asked if the heat was responsible and he said that "the chance of rain must have been keeping people away". It was not the heat nor the"chance of rain". It was due to the fact that every green looks like a baseball infield and the makeshift greens mowed into the fairway rendered all the yardage markers unusable, putts impossible and couldn't be seen from the fairway without driving most of the way to the "green" in some cases. After 6 holes and numerous lost balls due to the rough being ridiculously high, we gave up. When I got back to the proshop and mentioned that he didn't tell us anything about the condition of the course and nowhere did it say anything about the course when I booked it that I would like a refund. He said that the best that he could do was a raincheck that would only be good until October. I asked when the construction was going to be completed and was met with silence. I hate to take this course out of my repertoire, but I feel that I don't have a choice after having been treated like this.
Temporary Greens
The greens are being rebuilt, so it’s no fun. However, the fairways are in the best condition in years. Tee boxes are still in terrible condition, especially par-3 tee boxes.Hope
they will do something about them.
It has temporary greens I did not know that when we played
The course will be very nice when they finish
Making the greens perfect
I didn't know that they were redo in the greens. So they had temporary greens but it was okay it was a great fun course. I played out here many times with many friends and the courses always in immaculate condition. However this day was temporary greens. Honestly I was just messing around out there just trying to hit some good shots and a lot of people were pushing me to move ahead of them when I really didn't want to so I skipped a lot of holes but it was fun.
Construction
There are no greens to play on due to construction. Wish we would have known this before driving over an hour to play here.
All Greens are being redone.
All greens are temporary greens.
NO FUN UNTIL OCT. 1st.
Construction
I only gave it a mediocre review because all the greens were under construction but the price was reflective of this
Hcm
I wish I had known it was under construction I would not have booked it
Course under renovation
The course is complete mess, the greens are being renovated all 18 holes. That information would have save me my money and my time. The booking should have explained that problem before the the booking process.
Temporary greens!
All the front nine greens are temporary greens as all being reinstalled.
No greens to play on.
All greens are being redone. Was told at clubhouse their was a warning on golf now. I went back and looked, their was none. We played the back nine twice. Greens were non existent. I need my money back.
Redoing the greens
We just played there with friends and did not know they were redoing the greens. It was rough and course is not in good shape
Greens...
Greens were scheduled to be replaced/renovated a couple weeks after our rd. They were in pretty rough shape so glad to see the issue being addressed.
Otherwise a solid course in good shape with a challenging layout.
Pace was frustrating, condition declining
I generally do not get all that wound up about pace, but this round was the most frustrating I've played in quite some time. They had people so stacked up on the first tee, and the effect just continued throughout the entire round. What's even harder to understand is they had someone who was supposed to be the starter, but he really didn't serve much purpose. It seemed as though likely multiple groups arrived late but were just allowed in whenever they strolled up to the tee despite their actual time being earlier. I get it - you want everyone to play their round, but when people are that late, they need to wait for an opening - don't punish all the other groups who were ready to tee off at the appropriate time. The condition of the course has also seemed to slip noticeably in the last year or two. It used to be in great shape, but not so much anymore. Needs attention. I'm not likely to play it very often going forward, which I hate because it used to be one of my very favorite courses around.
