Good course
Good course with challenging holes. Very hilly so up and down hill lies are frequent. About 3-4 greens have black spots on them but the fairway and secondary cuts are beautiful!
Greens were barren. In some spots no grass at all. Not with the drive
Personal favorite
Nicest state course I’ve ever been to. Scenic and in very good shape.
Tee times are spread out appropriately so you move at your own pace.
Friendly staff and laid back atmosphere.
Definitely the best value east of Atlanta.
The Creek
Course is in excellent condition. Gorgeous fairways (w-grass) 2 greens where burned on edges but over all good speed & true.
Will play again this month. Its hot!!
Sunday Afternoon FUN!
Despite some other reviews that contradict, the course is in really good shape! Greens were a little bare on the edges, but perhaps others who are complaining should be closer to the pins. The greens seemed to have been punched a while back, but they still rolled true. Fairways were green, fast, firm and grassy (unless you call the cart path or tree line the fairway). Our foursome had a lot of fun, even with two foursomes ahead of us, pace was good. I’ll be back!
Greens in Rough Shape
This course is normally beautiful. This last times the greens were in very poor condition. The layout is nice and open for the most part. The scenery is always beautiful. Just disappointed in the greens. Everything else was good.
HLC GOLF
Grass was too anemic looking for June. We have had plenty of rain. Other courses in area have much better grass. Felt like hitting off Bare ground on fairways
Great golf course
Yes, the greens has burnt spots, but the course is awesome. Carvin through this beautiful layout is the wonderful part of this course and should not be overlook. I had a wonderful time and will go back. Take you two strokes on the green and move on, besides the whole location is not near a burnt spot. Again this is a awesome Golf Course.
Really enjoyed the course. I hadn't been there in quite some time. Tee boxes needed a little work, but otherwise, the course was great! Looking forward to returning.
Beautiful course
Greens where really bad! Other than that no complaints.
Disappointing conditions for a GA State park course
I played this course a couple times last year, and I was a bit disappointed and shocked in the conditions of the course today. Especially the greens and tee boxes. The greens are in very rough shape, especially the greens on the back nine. I really like the layout here but the conditions over the past year have gone down dramatically.
The course layout is great and the views and natural settings are awesome. It is a shame that the course conditions have gone downhill so bad over the past year. I have played four other GA state park golf courses this year and this course is by far in the worst condition of all the state park courses I have played. I love the state park golf courses because they are usually in fantastic condition and are an exceptional value.
I am usually not one to be to critical of the golf courses and the conditions, but the greens and tee boxes were some of the worst I have encountered this year. On a positive, the course is in a rural area and there are not homes at all and there are lots of great views and scenery. The staff is super friendly and accommodating.
Course good. Couple greens really rough
Only guy in shop a little grumpy. Cart kid at end was fabulous Great value for the money
