Elevation Changes on Every Hole
Beautiful mountainous course just east of Atlanta off I20. Course was in good shape despite being a rainy day. Greens ran medium fast and were bumpy. Beautiful cabin like pro shop with friendly staff. Did not use the driving range, so no comments there. The course could use many more directional signs to next tee boxes as I got lost several times. Some signs could have been placed better and would have been more effective. One sign said use stairs, where the bridge was blocked off. Howerver, you couldn’t see the stairs from the sign, so I drove down the cart path to the fairway until I turned around. Anyhow, I played three courses in three days, and every course could use more directional signage. Players should NEVER question the whereabouts of the next hole...NEVER!
Not in Good Shape
Fairways looked like rough in most places. Greens were slower than I’ve ever seen them. Will be a while before I try here again
A CHALLENGING GOLF COURSE
The Greens were in great condition as compared to last week which had lots of sand on the 1st 9.
I would give an excellent rating if the course maintenance had blown away chunks of cut grass on holes 16, 17 & 18. Overall this is a great golf course which we didn’t mind driving 75 mins to play here.
A Challenging Golf Course
We are impressed with Ken the pro shop manager who is very friendly and he went out of his way to explain and showed us the course when we told him that it was our first time there.
Indeed the course layout is very challenging ....it’s also hilly and with much topographical & elevational changes. Most of the greens’ condition are generally puttable in this time of the year. However, the grass in the rough needs to be cut shorter as balls get lost if you’re slightly out of the fairway.
Overall, it’s a very good course.
The state has let this course fall to ruins.
I have played this Course many times in past few years. They blame the rain for the terrible condition of fairways and greens. What Rain! If you can find your ball in the middle of fairway, your lucky. The grass is just tall enough to swallow your ball. This use to be a beautiful course. No it’s in the top worst in GA.
I wouldn’t waste your money for a neglected course of this caliber.
The fairway grass needs cutting.
The fairway grass was too tall... Can’t locate my ball.
Lost two balls on the fairway.
Glass clippings all over. Needs a better job.
The parking lot needs repair on paving.
Challenging for amateurs - lots of hills!
Loved the beauty of the course and the weather was perfect! Great practice green and driving range. Clean restrooms and pro shop.
Always a challenge
Grass had not been mowed and almost lost my drive on 9 that was right down the middle...Had to drive over it to find it.
Fairways and rough had not been mowed in some time.

Couldn’t tell the fairway from the rough. Understandably there have been some storms and rain but this was truly a unique experience that i don’t care to undertake again. Challenging and demanding course but it needs some TLC to get it back to where it needs to be.
Needs help, but not a bad course
The fairways play well and are up kept relatively well. Punishing rough. Cart path is not bad. The greens are horrid, takes a full swing for a 15 foot putt. They are also not kept up well at all. Sand traps are also in really bad condition. A few changes and this could be a really good course. No clue why the range isn’t open. Hasn’t been open either time I’ve played.
Not all that.
A friend has been raving about this course for years. Unfortunately, he has not been able to play for many years, and has not seen the poor state of affairs here. The greens were rough and bumpy with many bare spots. The fairway was mowed to first cut length, and the rough was so deep you'd lose a ball 1' from the fairway. None of it looked as if it had been mowed in the previous 10 days. I can see the nice layout and the good bones under the forest of bermuda, but this course is way past it's glory years unless they get an active superintendent to hire some grounds crew. Very disappointed, and will recommend only if you live within 5 miles. Otherwise, save your gas and time and play elsewhere.
Beautiful Course
This is a great course with a very challenging but fun layout. Conditions are superb and can challenge even the great golfers. Will definitely come back to play!
