Nice course but bring a hammer!
Played 9 holes in the evening and the course was in great shape except for the tee boxes, which were rock hard. I broke several tees just trying to get them into the ground. I’ve never carried a hammer in my bag, but I just might bring one next time!
Nice course
The greens are in excellent shape. It was slow, but this is a fun course. Not difficult.
Painfully slow
This course is pleasantly laid out and close to my house, but I usually try to play somewhere else. That’s because the pace of play can get ridiculously slow at City Club. Yesterday was a good example. We got very backed up on the back nine. It turned out there were two couples and it appeared that the men were giving lessons to the ladies. The men would hit several balls each, then the ladies would hit numerous balls. They weren’t letting people play through, so we just skipped a hole and went around them, as did the foursomes ahead of us. The carts have GPS and display messages that suggest that your pace of play is monitored, but it did not seem to be. Also, no marshall’s on the course to help keep things moving.
Great Course! If you have a lot of time..
Absolute gorgeous course. Pace of play is really slow.
Need some work
First time playing this course, I will say the staff was very courteous and friendly. The course itself needs more attention and work. Greens and tee boxes were in good shape, but the fairways were brutal. Lsy out is nice and challenging.
Needs a Little Love
Needs maintenance and I saw no one working on the course. Great location just needs a little more care.
Outstanding advice and customer service from the pro shop and starter shed. Pace of play is par for a municipal course. Conditions were solid other than usual wear and tear from rainy season in Georgia. Tricky greens and winding fairways make up for the course being a short track (distance substituted for precision). Will play again.
