City Club my home course
I've played here 40+ times and still find this course challenging and enjoyable. Well maintained course. They usually close the range on Monday mornings.
Challenging Exec course
I'm not usually a fan of exec courses but we tried this and liked it ok. It's short with a lot of blind shots and doglegs, holes close together, and all the greens have severe slopes around them. Once I got to know the course I'm sure I'd enjoy it more as I learned how to manage it. Their normal price is too high for me but acceptable when discounted.
This course has too many trees which produce leaves everywhere
Greens were rock hard. Lost 4 balls in the fairways due to the numerous leaves everywhere. Would not recommend anyone playing this course in the winter or fall. Can't drive the cart to the parking lot, practice area is great but a long way from the parking lot and you have to carry a cart bag down a hill cause you can't drive your cart close to the driving range. Price too high for the conditions at this course.
Course in great shape
At less than 6000 yrds, it is a short course. That being said, it was well maintained and had challenging holes. GPS on the carts was a big help, but check out landing areas for blind shots before you hit them.
Course is very short -- even from back tees.
Due to short nature of the course (less than 6000 yards from tips) the course has several Par4s that are less than 300 yards. Most are not drivable due to the shape or incline. So be prepared to hit hybrids or irons off several tees. The course is also routed such that some tee shots can affect safety of players on other holes.
All that said, the course was in good shape for a muni. Pace of play was monitored and resonably good -- about 4 1/2 hours during prime time weekend play. Staff was very fienndly.
Solid course in Marietta
Pretty good course, but for some reason I just wasn't feeling it (my game, not the course). Could be because I was playing with a few guys I didn't know too well and wasn't as comfortable. Got a little windy when we were there. No complaints, though. Greens were in pretty good shape.
Fun Course
The course was in good shape. The greens on the front nine where very tricky but a lot of fun making the course really fun. We will be returning to this course in the near future .
Wow! It makes you want to play again. Do over.
Wow! I enjoyed this course. It was mysterious, fun, frustrating , rewarding, exciting and challenging. Wide fairways, narrow fairways, over water, around water, over tree's, around tree's (and sometimes in the trees). Their were rolling hills, rolling fairways, rolling greens and on some of my swings we had rolling laughter. This is an awesome layout and a fair course. You can't play this course once (it makes you want to play it again). And you bet I will.
Excellent course, The course was maintained perfectly. I would recomend this course to everyone!
Great staff, Great course and a wonderful experience.
greens are in fantastic condition...
Could not pass up the value of the price offered at $24.00. Course is in great condition especially the greens for the fall. It is very close to my home so not a lot of traffic. Would play there more at this low price. Thanks GolfNow for a great day on the Links. Played with 3 guys I'd never met and we all had a great time. Hottie beer cart girl.... : )
Course has the potential to be great. The greens need work as they are inconsistent. Evidence of prior aeration made some greens bumpy.

Check this course out, it was great, some holes tough, but great.
I have played here about 6 times this summer, I never get tired of this course. You will use every club in your bag, it has been a course that is on my return list for some time. Enjoy, go
nice course great location
Nice course close in to atlanta. A short course that requires proper club selection. All clubs in the bag are needed for this course. Fairways are pristine. Rough is a little thick. Only problem area is that the greens are extremely receptive and people aren't fixing their ball marks.
A good deal if you use golfnow.
thanks
Great Course for the Fee
What a pleasant surprise, excellent course, if you need a challenge and tired of the flat sand trapped lined greens and a change, City Club offers you a sudden awakening, I will return even with a 1hr drive.
Beautiful setting. Interesting terrain. Fun to play.
Spent a great day playing at Marietta City Club with my son. Course was in good shape, although the greens had been aeriated the week before. Knowing the greens condition, we enjoyed our play regardless. Good course for average players. Great staff.
this is one of the best courses in the area. Pleasant views
was a little dissapointed in the rough areas. Looks like it had just been cut but access clumps of dried grass made it hard to find the ball. The greens were fair but i do understand they had just been aerated. Could have offered better discount.
Shot makers gem
Course is in great shape, greens just aerated 9/6/2013. This is a shot maker’s course with the ruff high you will lose a few balls. I had a hard time, but will be back again, just love this Old school little course. Secret bonus on the 19th hole at hotel bar, great pints!
A fun, open yet fairly challenging course that's always kept in fairly good condition
Nice greens (not to fast or firm) but you get a true roll and they look pretty good (couple holes have some rough spots). Nice fairways and tee boxes, very open, and not to many hazards to loose a golf ball. Playing out of the rough can create a challenge since it is kept at about 2 1/2" and some challenging lies around the green make this a fun couse that can challenge any handicap.
Course was in great shape.
I've played City Club Marietta twice now, both times the course has been in great shape. The greens was tough for me to get a feel for, but other than that it was perfect. It is not a long golf course, but don't let the yardage fool you. If you don't place the ball in the fairway, your second shot will be extremely difficult (the way golf is supposed to be).
Decent course
Hit or miss with respect to time of play --- sometimes you can fly through the course in less than 4 hours but generally, too many amateurs with little respect for others playing behind and who take too long to play their round.
The staff are friendly, the GPS carts are great (especially for many of the holes with blind spots), the course is well maintained (stay out of the rough).
