Round played on 6-17-25
Course was great and clubhouse staff was exceptional. Highly recommend!
tale of two 9's
Greens rolled really nice; rest of course was in great shape as well---quite possibly the best conditions I've seen at Brazell's Creek. Front 9 twist and turns through tall pines; back 9 is straight links golf--really different and fun to play.
Greens not up to par
I typically play this course weekly. It’s usually well maintained. Sometimes the course manager will overuse cartpath only rules.
About 2 years ago, ta couple of greens on the back began having poa (annual bluegrass). On them. The problem has gotten wore, and the greens on the back 9 are completely useless for putting.
Back 9 unplayable
Course was recently aerated. Been playing this course since 1997. Worse conditions I have ever witnessed. Back 9 had some type of clump of grass or weed on the greens made it impossible to putt. The fairways were as usual good. Want be back until they find a solution to fix the greens.
Disappointed
I’ve played this course 3-4 times. I think the layout is truly awesome, partially that back 9 where you feel like you’ve been transported to Kansas. However I don’t think I would return again. Had a 10:20 tee time, showed up on the tee right on time and there were 3 groups still waiting to go off. No marshall or any organization to keep things moving. A group of 2 could have easily been paired with me as a single, but they didn’t want to play. Did not end up getting off the number 1 tee until 10:45. As a single, I expect to do some waiting, but this round was excessive. On hole 3 I began to see exactly what the problem was, a group of 8 were on hole 5. Only hole 4 was a group of 6. I called the clubhouse to ask if this eas being allowed and they said no and would handle it. From what I could tell not only was nothing done about it, no one even went out to talk to these groups. Front 9 was honestly not terrible pace, 2 hours and 10 mins. The back 9 however madness ensued. Multiple randoms just popped into the back 9 in front of myself and the foursome ahead of me. Between the two groups that sandwiched themselves in between the already slow play it killed the pace of this round. The back 9 took 2 hours and 40 mins. If I didn’t really enjoy the 17th hole I would’ve left around the 14th. Unless some form of management or structure takes place this course will continue to be taken advantage of by inconsiderate groups who want to play high handicap Ryder cup matches (yes, all 8 of these guy sucked). Greens were also punched which may or may not have been mentioned when booking online, but was not mentioned by the staff when checking in. Like the course and it’s usually in decent shape for the cost, but the lack of management puts this course on my no play list for a while. It’s also quite a haul from Savannah for those that think it doesn’t look that far away on the map, trust the google maps eta.
Come out and see
My wife and I played 4 days in a row. Overall course conditions 4.5. Tee to green in great shape. Hats off to the superintendent and staff for a wonderful experience
Tale of 2 nines
Front 9 beautiful tree lined. Greens, fairways, tees and bunkers in fantastic condition. Back 9 wide open links style with fields of wild colorful grass. Tees, fairways, bunkers and greens in great shape. A few greens have mixed grass
great round of golf for the money
Good course in good condition. the front nine and back nine are completely different. The front nine is tight, tree lined, and kinda short. The back nine is wide open and long with almost no trees. overall a great time, but the wind can be harsh on the back nine.
Good course.
The course is kept up very well. They are having some trouble with a few of their greens right now. The front nine please short and tight and the back nine plays long and wide open. It's almost like two different courses. So it will play on all your strengths and weaknesses. I truly enjoy playing this course.
Great day!
This corse has great bathrooms ,complimentary
Ice and water beautiful place.
2 courses one round.
The front nine of the course is somewhat shorter and more narrow. The back nine is wide open and long. It's a fun round of golf and it lets you show your strengths and weaknesses. I really enjoyed playing the course and the staff was very nice. The course is in really good shape also. If you're in the area you should try to get a round in.
Love this course
Great course, great staff, and all around great experience. This is my home course, over the last couple of years I have played here 2-3 a week. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are almost always immaculate.
