Lake Richard B. Russell at Arrowhead Pointe State Park

Great layout and greens.

Nice gps in carts.

Course was a bit wet and had to stay on cart path which slowed down the pace but there wasn’t a lot of back to back tee times.

Downsides I would say is limited cell phone towers and reception. If you plan on using any tracking apps it might not work.

Also the course is in the middle of no where. So for most people it might be a long drive.

The greens, tee boxes, and fairways were incredible. I imagine the recent rain has help but man were they spot on all 18 holes. Tough and challenging course. Tons of shade on a hot day. Pace of play was perfect. No one really close until we caught up with a group on 18 and no one remotely close behind to push us. Just a perfect day of golf except for my score lol. One of my favorite courses even though its an hour away.

Fun fun fun until we got back to our car and I realized that I lost my car keys on the golf course. Shucks!! Hesaid

My favorite course surrounded by God's creation beautiful place. The maintenance team is extraordinary and the Staff is helpful and knowledgeable.

This is a well-managed public course. It feels like you are in a private course. The layout and green conditions are great. The only thing is this course need better fairways. We had to play the winter rule that you can move your ball in the fairway. Maybe a shower room as well.

Perfect course conditions and welcoming staff. The head pro even joined us for a few holes. Great guy and fantastic course!

The course is in the best shape I have seen it in recent years. Big recommend!

This course is as nice of a public course as there is anywhere in this area. Greens are beautiful, back 9 with view of the lake are incredible and pace of play was terrific. Recommend to anyone

This course is a gem, well worth the drive. Greens are the best we have played all year. The play was slow today but normally it’s good. The best state course in GA and the staff is awesome, the views of the lake on the back side are fantastic.

We play this as our go to for the scenery and the value it’s a state park and they are excellent ambassadors for their state. We are from sc.

Beautiful course on Lake Russel! Challenging yet very scoreable from the whites if you’re accurate with the driver.

The staff are friendly and welcoming…the course is great and the greens are in great condition. Sadly, the pace of play is abysmal. They need a ranger on busy days to help with pace of play. This shouldn’t be an 5-5.5 hour round ever. Also, no one is refilling the coolers on the course. Every cooler on the back was empty. On 90* days, do better.

Such a fun course...excellent condition and played as a 3some in 4 hours. If I lived here, I would play Arrowhead Pointe twice a week!
