Reviews
This course is a gem- worth playing
Course was well maintained and should be a destination for anyone traveling to the area. The backdrop of Lake Russell on many of the back nine holes was tranquil. Great layout when playing the tips which required hitting almost every club in the bag.
Great Escape
The back nine here rivals Great Waters if not better because no boats or lakeside homes. Love this course. Unfortunately the greens had been punched about 10-14 days ago and were fuzzy with new growth. Sands need some work like edging. I will be back in July and bet it will be in top shape!
Great course and staff
A great course, hidden off the beaten path.Fairways are perfect, greens were rolling good even though they were punched couple of weeks ago.Staff is top notch, and superintendent works all the time and nice guy!If you looking for fun day of golf and don’t mind driving a little more, come on down! You won’t be disappointed
Terrible course
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Especially doing the stay and play. Your are promised breakfast buffet. Free round each day. There was zero breakfast and zero buffet lol. The stay and play package at arrow pointe came with two rounds and I got charged for one when I looked at my bank account next day.
I also heard they arrested a guy this past weekend on Saturday 6/14 for peeing in the bushes! (indecent exposure). I would say on most golf courses - taking a leak in the bushes is common practice, slightly frowned upon - i understand but to have four sheriffs take you off the 11 tee box in handcuffs..... After coming to elberton and spending $ on the so called "stay and play and go to jail" package!!
Be careful with this place. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, Or go to jail.
Great Experience/Beautiful Course
Beautiful park/course that was over crowded on a Saturday. Makes the place a hidden gem. Highly recommend for the price . The course doesn’t play long but The course layout does force you to play smart. Over all great experience and make sure you study how to read Bermuda greens...this could give an advantage.
Great day
Beautiful layout with great views.
Shorter holes require precise tee shot. Greens are multi- tiered with many undulations. Although playing slow- could still be treacherous if hit in the wrong spot.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Best state Park course I have played
Course was great excellent fairways greens were a little slow but I understand why as it is getting hot. Back nine has great scenery around the lake on several holes
Beautiful setting
Excellent course in a beautiful setting. Can’t wait until next time.
Great day of golf
Beautiful golf course. Very scenic and challenging. Would recommend and will play again.
First trip.
We had to alter yearly golf trip due to Covid. This place a gem for stay and play.
Beautiful course on the lake. Very well kept.
Staff is very curtious and friendly.. one of my favorite courses in the area.
Arrowhead Pointe G C
I always enjoy making the trip up to play Arrowhead Pointe. The course played a little hard and fast from previous rounds, but in all fairness the course has not greened up all the way yet. I’ve read sometime ago that this course was a hidden gem, and I would have to agree. I would tell anyone who’s never played there to make a trip and decide for themselves.
The person you are speaking about was arrested for exposing themselves to a cleaning lady at the cabins and arrested for possession of methamphetamine. This same person trashed the cabin. Additionally, everything in the restaurant was shut down due to covid-19.
