Lake Richard B. Russell at Arrowhead Pointe State Park

When you can't even see the ball when you are off the fairway, it makes for a tough round.

The course and layout is as good as there is. The greens needed some work.

Love this course, but today it was a beast! If you happened to land off the fairway, you were in deep kaka (literally). The first cut was so high that my partners and I were constantly looking for, and losing, balls no more than 5 feet off the fairway. We spent considerable time looking for balls in the bermuda grass just off the fairway. I felt like I was playing in the U.S. Open. Not too enjoyable...I understand you're supposed to be in the fairway, but I wasn't trying to make the cut at Bethpage Black! Please cut it a little lower.

Fun course with great fairways and course layout. Beautiful lake views. Unfortunately they just worked on the greens and a lot of sand. Hard to keep score

Very good golf course. However, the greens were very slow. They had a great stand of grass on them… But very slow.

When we got there around 1:30 PM for our 215 teatime, the inside snack bar/grill was said to be “closed” to the couple in front of me . The lady behind the grill area said the “chef/cook” had to leave early. At 1:30pm ? All this couple was wanting was a hotdog… Do you have any premade sandwiches?… No. We do have chips and crackers…

Course was well maintained and should be a destination for anyone traveling in the north Georgia area. The backdrop of Lake Russell on many of the back nine holes is beautiful and very tranquil. Great layout which requires hitting almost every club in the bag. There are no homes on the course anywhere which I love.

The course is part of the GA state park and is off the beaten path. Fairways are perfect, bunkers were great and the greens were rolling smooth and true. The greens were a little slow for my liking, but I will take the slow greens for all the other great things that go with the course. The staff is top notch, friendly and very accommodating. The course superintendent does a great job maintaining one of the best courses in Georgia. If you looking for fun day of golf and don’t mind driving a little bit, go play Arrowhead Point at Richard B. Russell. You will no be disappointed. Very scenic and challenging. I highly recommend to anyone.

Great course and nice scenery, greens are slow and soft.

Course is in great shape. Greens were aerated recently so they’re still growing in. There were some bumps on the green and a little slow but playable. Other than that, great conditions. Keep it in the short grass, the rough is for real!!
