Came to the course from Jacksonville, FL had family come down from other states for our annual Golf week We kicked it off with a wonderful round at the Lakes.
Beautiful course
One of my favorite courses to play. The greens and fairways were in excellent shape. The staff are very professional. Just all around a great course to play beginner or not.
One of my Favorites
I live in Jacksonville and happily make the hour and 15 minute drive each way to this course to play it whenever I can. Layout is super fun, people are very friendly, and the course is always in great shape. Easily one of my favorite courses in South Georgia/north Florida, if not my absolute favorite.
Great facility
We arrived 2 hours early for our tee time.
We were on our way back from Hilton head SC, and mis calculated the amount of time needed to get there.
The course was wide open, however, to play earlier than our tee time we had to pay $ 10 per player
They said they don't make any money on hot deals and even do it was wide open we could not play early unless. we paid.
My health is important to me but not them.
The course was nice enough. We arrived and there were 5 cars in the parking lot. Went into the clubhouse to check in. The guy inside was nice and explained the layout. When we asked for another key so we could ride separately, the voice from the office yelled out no. Huh, been playing throughout pandemic in seperate carts at every other course, why not here. Not like tthey were running low. We were the only ones there. Oh, because we had a hot deal, they weren't making any money off of us. Then read a memo on the counter. Due to lack of staff we will no longer be sanitizing carts after use. We will never go back or recommend this course to anyone after their lack of caring about my safety.
The course is coming into form again after aerification...
Report Card
Tee boxes - 85
Fairways - 90
Greens - 85
Fairway & Green side Bunkers - 100
The course is green!!! Looking great.
Pay attention on the cart paths...there are a couple of heaves that will spill your drink!
Going to enjoy several rounds this week!
Great Public Facility
The greens are running good and true, not as much break as you might think.
Better by the day...
The greens are getting right, finally! Pace of play was perfect, wasn't even that busy. You just need to go early to beat the sweltering heat that catches you on the back 9.... Go play!
The greens are a little slow, but this is the best shape I have ever seen the course in!!!!
Great Public Facility
This is one of the best Public courses in Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida. If you play this course, you will not be disappointed with the course.
Great Golf
Having played this course several times I can say this is a great place. Course conditions are always good and consistent. Greens, fairways, and yes even the roughs are kept neat and clean. I will (and do) recommend this course to all golfers, high and low handicappers.
Most play
If you are in the area or willing to drive, you must played. Well maintained, green slightly slow but in great shape. 6600 may seem short for some long hitters, but you better placed in the right spot. Recomeneded.
