Sea Palms Resort

Played a second St Simons Island course in the past two weeks and it was another enjoyable round. Course was in good shape not a nice as King and Prince was but still very nice. I had read a review complaining about bunkers but I did not find anything wrong with them other than I landed in them too often. Course has some very scenic views especially a couple of the par 3's. Seemed to have several dog legs which regard a good drive and sometimes a good second shot to be in right position. Greens rolled very well and where easy to read so putting was a joy. All and all if I was to spend a week end playing golf in South East Georgia I would definitely include this course.

I had played this course nine months ago and was very pleased to see the improvements in the condition of the course. Sand traps could use a bit of work, but this was a very good experience.

This course is an undiscovered treasure. Go for it, but do it on GolfNow. Much better pricing. Recommend, A+.

Nice course and layout. Good condition. Teed off in the heat of the day to play by myself and practice. Caught up with tournament on hole number 9. Pro Shop was gonna let me play front nine again until young pro came in and said i had to stay behind foursomes and play the back. I drove to front anyway- no one there. in my opinion this is why golf is suffering- extremely poor customer service. If a client can't be accommodated, at least make them feel valued. They did neither. Will not return for that reason

You can see that this was one of the great layouts of 70's & 80's For a public track the course is in very good shape

A fun, well-maintained course in the middle of St. Simon's Island. Course is not long and is very playable. Got off early and wheeled around at a good pace. Tee boxes and fairways are lush. Bunkers, dog legs, rough, and a few water hazards turn up the challenge just enough.

Greens had recently been sanded, had some rough patches, and were rather slow. Bunkers need some work; hardpan in many, some with grass. If you're in one, think chip not splash shot. Driving range was closed for repairs. :-(

Would play it again.

Course was exactly as pro shop said it was great lay out a little challenging but very slow greens

This course is layer out nicely with some difficulties on a few holes. The one improvement needed is the sand traps. They are like hitting off a hard pan not enough sand in them!!!

Enjoyed this course. It was totally uncrowded on a Monday afternoon and I played in around 3 hours. Course reminded me somewhat of Oak Marsh on Amelia Island Plantation with oak trees and Spanish moss, but a bit more wide open. Fairways and greens were in good condition, maybe still recovering from spring treatment. Sand traps were a bit hard. Staff very friendly.

I am average golfer but husband is 10 handicap and the other guy that played !!

I reserved for 18 holes, but learned that the front 9 were closed when I arrived. The back 9, however, were in excellent shape, and it was fun to play it twice. The fairways were mowed and the greens were really ready for play. It seems it will be worth waiting for the front 9 to open.

the course is coming along slow this year the front nine are average but the back nine are in better shape with beautiful greens

It could be an excellent course, but the excess of rain

the previous month almost ruined some of the greens.

I liked the course and with good weather and growing times coming up, the course will be as good as any

First Time playing this course. The Greens where a little slow but that was due to the rain the day before. Some of the greens where in better shape than others but all in all a great course to play.

Poor course conditions, no grass on the greens. No amenities, no cart service, starter was less than friendly. Terrible pace of play, as a matter of fact I'm writing this review while waiting at the tenth hole. I will never play this course again.

Reception in the clubhouse and by the starter was friendly and helpful.
Course is winding through a housing development. This is honestly not my favourite layout - I prefer a more natural setting.
Course is laid out well, with decent fairways, and some challenges.
The greens, however, are poor. Winter has done some harm to them - sparse, bumpy, unreadable in many places. We took four foot gimmes to try and make the putting fair.
Perhaps because of the time of year, there is not much natural landscaping to see.
And, of course, the houses are all around you.
The course provides a good scorecard, and a hole-by-hole booklet that gives excellent yardage markers and descriptions.
Overall, a good experience. I would play here again.

I have played Sea Palms a couple of times before but I was truly disappointed this time. The course is a challenge and fun to play when it is in good condition. I literally could not putt most of the greens. 12 of the 18 greens were half dirt or more. Most of the tee boxes were shaggy and uneven. Most of the fairways were similar to pasture land. I'll not be going back until the greens are fixed.
