Sea Palms Resort is a golf community on St. Simons Island in coastal Georgia with condominium style accommodations in the resort village or beachfront. Guests at Sea Palms Resort have access to the club's 18-hole golf course, fitness center, pool and other member amenities. The Sea Gate Inn features condominium-style suites with modern, full kitchens, private balconies and living spaces. The beach on St. Simons Island is accessible on the south end. The 18-hole golf course was originally designed by George Cobb and fully renovated in 2019.Facts

Great layout
Needs turf/grass growth around all edges of fairways and into the rough. Outer edges off fairway and somewhat into the fairways need maturer and seeded grass to grow.
The base around the fairways is more dirt, sand, and mud, with little grass tuffs that give away when swinging. Greens are good, as well as bunkers. Maintenance work around clubhouse limits its directional access.
Fun course!
Lack of a practice range is a huge disadvantage . Some cart paths need work.
Pace of play
They need the occasional ranger riding the course. We waited every hole for the “slow” group ( two groups in front of us) to finish and clear the hole. We were paired with 2 other players and the round took over 4.5 hours. A “good “ ranger would have moved these people along. or had them skip a hole…
Enjoyable Round
Course was in good condition. Greens were firm and putted true. I thought they were a perfect speed. Tee boxes and fairways in good shape. Pace of play was good at a little over 4 hours.
It was a beautiful course on a beautiful day!
The work they have done on this course is amazing!! I do wish there were less sand traps.....seems I was in them all the time. We didn't receive much course info before we teed off. Had to call clubhouse for bathroom code.
Weren't made aware of pin placement. But was more than an enjoyable day with fabulous friends.
nice time but ugly weather
first 8 holes went fine then the rain and wind started. But me and my new friend were troopers and played all 18 I came out alone and they set me up with a young man who was surprised to have an older lady as a partner but we had a good time and I think he decided it wasnt so bad playing golf with a female. He was a nice golfer and glad i met him
Sea Palms in good shape and great greens
Our foursome all agreed that Sea Palms was a great course to play. The greens are in really good shape and we like the overall course layout and condition.
