Not much of a renovation
Their “renovation” of a few years ago did nothing to improve the course. Don’t know where all the money went. Can’t see any improvements that justify basically doubling their fee. Only one hole, the 18th, is markedly different : shorter to the pin which is now raised on a small hill. They removed most of the concrete cart paths in favor of some kind of clay based dirt path that becomes a complete quagmire with the slightest rain. They overbook the course and have players start on both the 1st and 10th tees, which results in a very backed up course. You’re constantly waiting for the group in front of you while the people behind you are always right on your tail. The carts look pretty new and have leather bucket seats which actually kind of interferes with getting in and out of the cart easily, especially with someone who has an injured leg like me. Only one very small cooler on the cart and it’s inconveniently located on the opposite side of the driver. No GPS to let you know distances and hard to find distance markers on the course, many overgrown with grass. Greens were rock hard and pretty chopped up. Like putting on concrete. Even the sand traps were rock hard. Grass in the rough kept too long and sparsely grown so you’re ball falls so deep down you literally have to step on it to find it. I lost quite a few balls but still ended up having more than I started with because so many other players lost a lot of their balls. Can’t spend very long looking for your ball with someone constantly pushing you to a faster than comfortable pace of play. I’ll be traveling 45 minutes to the next closest courses from now on.
Cart was dirty
I thought it was going to be a great round of golf until I noticed the scorecard had been used. I started looking around the cart and noticed trash from it's previous use. I was reluctant to use the towels after that. No sand in the sand bottles. Fingerprints on the steering wheel. In short the cart was dirty and hadn't been cleaned or tidied up at all.
I told them about it when I turned the cart in and I got a shrug of the shoulders and a I'll let them know about it.
All things considered, don't think I'll be back.
very nice course
this course was very nice but slightly below the top courses on the island but a great value i would play it again
Disappointed
I was expecting a better overall course both in terms of layout and condition for a resort course. Greens fee was higher than it should be for the condition it was in. On the plus side, the cart was the nicest I’ve ever ridden in for a round of golf.
Nice course
It was a bit pricey but overall the course is very nice. The sand is very hard packed which I’m not used to but other than that it was great
Nice course
Course is a mix of beauty and muddy cart paths. Greens are very challenging. Every fairway shot takes a divot
Post course punching
Course had been punched a week or so before; greens were extremely slow and there was no roll on the fairways. Overall the course appeared to be average maintained, not considering the punching. A decent layout overall.
