Nice course needs some TLC
This is a beautiful area, full of colorful wildlife and gorgeous plantings. Unfortunately, no one has bothered to take care of this course, which is very rough around the edges. The greens in particular had bumps and holes created by neglect. Putting is an adventure, and not a very entertaining one. There was much ground under repair. To be fair the pro shop guy said they will soon be ripping up the greens on some holes and replacing them. Off-course, the restaurant-bar only accepts credit cards, and on the day we went, the credit machine wasn't working very well. Again, some things that need to be addressed. That said, this course has potential to be a really nice spot, but someone's going to have to do some upgrading.
Osprey Cove
OC is a nice course, but the layout is uninspiring. None of the holes is particularly memorable though several border the marshes. I played just after it was aerated and during a drought so conditions were not the best, especially the greens. Nevertheless, it is fun to play and the staff was very, very helpful.
Great day
Love the course. Nice flow, last hole had a nice large crossing.
Osprey Cove is Lovely!
Excellent practice facilities and course condition. This is a great place.
Very Good Neighborhood Course
We enjoyed this course and would have liked it better if there were some outline of the holes. We were unaware of some of the blind hazards, since it was our first time. But we would play it again and found it a good value by booking through a golf site. Fairways and greens are in pretty good shape considering the early part of the season when we played.
Great value
A few friends and I played on a hot deal. GREAT VALUE for this course. I have played it many years ago and then it went to a private course. While they are allowing non members to play you should take advantage of the opportunity. My friends had never played it and they are ready to go back. Nice change of pace for our normal courses we play.
Nice layout, staff very friendly and informative. Great experience.
Nice course with challenging holes.
The course is in very good shape and is not overly difficult. Some forced carries but enjoyable to play
Very nice course
So glad this course is now open to the public. I have played all the courses in the area, this is probably tops. Great course design by Mark McCumber. Whenever I am in the area, I will be playing it.
Hot Deal $31 it's a steal.
Nice course at a golfnow rate.
This was a nice course - in pretty good shape for late Feb. The fairways were well groomed while still mostly dormant. The greens were very quick Bermuda - also not quite growing. At a $30 golf now rate this was a fun day, at $50 probably not so much.
Course opinion
Glad to see Osprey Cove offered on Golf Now at a fair price finally. Very much enjoy playing this course after so long away. The course was a little dry coming out of winter but has been well maintained and will be looking forward playing again soon. It's a bit of a drive coming from Jacksonville but makes for a nice field trip.
