Course needs cutting!
Hilly course with several blind shots. I know we have had some rain but fairway and second cut were really thick. Grass around tee box area were extremely high. Reasonable price but need more staff obviously. The gentleman at check in not exactly the friendliest either. Could be a nice course with regular cutting.
Highland Walk is one of my favorite courses. It is challenging, value for money and just beautiful views.
Great, tough course
The course is in great condition. A difficult course with some good elevation changes. The greens and fairways were well groomed. Will definitely be back.
First time at highland walk.
Great course for the money but a definite hike from Gwinnett county. Very hilly with lots of beautiful elevation changes. Too many uphill shots for this dude. Staff very friendly. Played with a member along with my two sons. Recommended for the course knowledge.
Highland Walk
Course is very challenging and have to place some shots through out the course. Greens in good condition and fairways pretty green as well. Good course for the $17 hot deal. Will play again
A beautiful day to golf
Had a wonderful morning. Teed off at 745 am and was done at 1030 am. Course is beautiful and is the third time I've played it. I shot a 84 on a par 72. This is by far my favorite course I've played since moving to this area in December of last year.
Highland Walk
Except for the greens being punched everything else was great. I knew about the greens so no big deal
Rude Staff
The overall condition of the course is ok but the rough was way too high. Miss the fairway by a foot and it would take 30 minutes to find your ball high. The pin location chart was wrong. The greens were poked recently and were slow, bumpy and unpredictable. Not a fan of the layout. Staff was extremely rude. Will never go back.
Beautiful mountain type terrain
Great course in very good condition. Beautiful scenery. Challenging yet fair. Multiple tee boxes makes it playable for all shill levels. Highly recommend.
Great course, Bad management
Course is good condition and golf was fun. We had a terrible experience with staff. We had 8:20 tee time and were 2nd off the tees. We finished the 1st hole and then a golf ranger caught me and said we needed to talk to front desk. Someone in the foursome behind us had complained that we were playing at a slow pace and out of the same bag. Mind you, she had her own set just put in my bag to save space as we traveled 8hrs to see family with 2 kids. The course rules stated she only needed her own set of clubs, which she had.
The club manger then asked the woman with me was any good at golf because they have a 10 minute per hole rule. HIGHLY INAPPROPRIATE to assume that because she was a woman she was bad and slow. I told him that we were on vacation and here on a date to have fun! He then told me the group behind me was good and if they play slow they might run up on us and say something.
I told him we would let them play through, I am a avid golfer and know course etiquette.
We then proceeded to play having to wait every shot on their foursome while my wife and I played 3+ she played bogie golf.
The ranger came back a apologize at hole 12 but the rudeness from the clubhouse was never apologized for.
Very Nice Course
I shouldn't tell ya this but if you are looking for a course that is not crowded at all, well maintained, and very inexpensive to play then you have found what you are looking for. Yes it is out of the way but it is worth the drive if this is the type golf course you are looking for..
My only complaint is the greens are very slow with not much break but they are in excellent condition.
Worth the Drive
Loved the course, will play again. A pleasant surprise! Staff started off a bit unfriendly but warmed up later. Overall a great outing.
Fun, Challenging Course – Great Value
I have played this course several times. Every time I play the course, I always leaving asking myself why I do not play this course more often (it is about 70 minute drive from where I live and that is the reason). This course is well off the beaten path but well worth the drive to get here. It is part of a Georgia State Park. There are no homes of developments anywhere on the course. The course is always in very good condition.
The course has beautiful greens and fairways. The course (3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 12, 15, 17) is very hilly and lots of elevation changes with some narrow fairways that slope away from the middle so you have to be careful of where you hit your tee shots of second shot on the par five holes (. Due to the hills and elevation changes some of the holes are very challenging (3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 15, 17, 18). The greens were in excellent condition, but a bit slow. Every time I have played, the pace of play has been excellent.
