The Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa is located on the island's south shore and adjacent to Poipu Bay Golf Course. This beachfront resort on 50 acres features 604 guest rooms with upscale amenities including private lanais. There are 10 dining & bar concepts ranging from Italian to a breakfast buffet and contemporary Hawaiian fare. There are several swimming holes including a half-acre saltwater swimming lagoon with kayak and floatation rentals. Guests can also access two tennis courts and 45,000-square-foot spa and fitness center. The golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., is an 18-hole championship layout that is a former host of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf from 1994-2006 and whose notable moments feature seven Tiger Woods victories and 59 by Phil Mickelson.Facts

Great round at Poipu
Enjoyed the round! Course staff were friendly and were happy to get us out early after the morning rains! Course was in great shape!
Excellent golf course
Enjoyed playing Poipu for the first time. Adding it to one of my favorite golf course to play in Kauai. Excellent service, tee time, pace of play, facilities, staff and everything.
Very Scenic, Interesting Layout
Greens were fuzzy was the only complaint, the rest of the course was spectatular.
Nice course , views are great, some short far 4’s & 5’s but the wind makes up for that. Had a great time beating my son- in-law.
18 holes of golf
A great golf course challenging but not too for my capabilities beautiful views course well taking care of everybody was very friendly enjoyed it very much want to come back to Kauai I will definitely play it again
Great course, but very windy
Poipu Bay is a great course not to be missed. Pace of play was a bit slow once I caught up with the group in front of me, but that allowed plenty of time to enjoy and photograph the beautiful scenery, especially on the ocean holes 15-17. It is very windy, though, a 2-club wind the day I played, mostly either in your face or at your back (not a lot of crosswind holes).
Awesome experience!
The course is in immaculate shape and you couldn’t ask for a better experience. The elements definitely make this course challenging given the intermittent rain and seemingly constant 20+ mph winds. The greens were slower than I would expect for a course of this caliber, but it was welcome after how much work it can take to get to the green in the first place. I would absolutely come back and play again.
Stunning!
One of, if not the best, resort courses I have ever played. Beautiful track, well maintained, tough but fair, pricey but worth it, all around show stopping golf course. The staff was awesome and even on a busy day we played in under 4 hours. Just play it if you can!
No service
So the course is beautiful but there is no restaurant or a place to get a drink except the cart girl. I did not see her until the 8th hole. Everywhere in Kauai is using Covid as an excuse to have no service.
Return trip to Poipu Bay
Enjoyed a wonderful round of golf. Spectacular views, great course, and very friendly staff. Pace of play was ideal as well. 18 holes in 4 hours.
