Ko Olina Golf Resorts (Oahu)

Extremely slow play every time we play here.

Waited on every shot, 4 groups on every hole.

It's noce golfcourse but its not extraordinary quality. Slow greens. For 2500 dollars no free balls on driving range. They gave me only 20 balls when I started to ask. Really not worth.

Very enjoyable round. I was paired with locals who helped with putting. Most difficult.

Difficult putting. Need to know how to read the grain. Wonderful scenery

We stayed in Ko Olina and played this course instead of driving 15-25 min to Kapolei/Ewa/Aiea and playing some of the cheaper similarly rated courses.

The course is a resort course and does all of the little things that other courses do not. You are gifted tees, ball markers, souvenir cups, water bottles, range balls on a grass range. The carts are great quality with GPS. There is a bag drop, and a shuttle to take you from the cart return to your car.

However, the course was unremarkable. There are no ocean views, no special holes. The signature hole was a 200 yard Par 3 8th that was an elevated green over a waterfall, with the resorts in the background (no ocean view). The 18th was also an approach over water into the clubhouse, and the 12th was a par 3 where you drive under the grotto waterfall at the security gate. Cool holes, but nothing that you can't experience outside of Hawaii.

The fairways, tee boxes, rough, bunkers were good. The greens were not. It was incredibly frustrating to consistently get opportunities to score only for the green to be full of sand that makes it hard to judge breaks and pace. No one in our group was making putts all day due to the sand, in spite of having great opportunities.

It didn't feel worth the extra $100 to play here as opposed to driving to one of the other courses. I would play it if I was staying in Ko Olina at one of the resorts and didn't have a car.

The location and views are hard to beat, but the condition of the greens ruined the experience. Grass on the greens was thin in many areas with many areas mostly sandy. (Granted, the greens were not as sandy as after an aeration.) I expect greens such as these occasionally from municipal courses on the mainland but not on a resort course with almost a $300 fee. Rate should be reduced to reflect the condition of the course/greens.

Booking through Golf Now was not easy, complicated rules on what cannot & can be used with gift cards.

A gift one would think should be able to be used to pay 100% of value for or towards a round of golf, but evidently not the case as I experienced. I could have paid for the round cheaper without added GolfNow fees.

Disappointing…

The course provided a driver to take us to and from the course. Upon returning we had left shoes in the car and called to ask if the driver could return them to us before going too far. They said it would only take 3 minutes and was "no problem". Upon returning with my shoes the driver refused to give them to me unless I tipped him an additional 10 dollars or more. This was not mentioned on the call to return our stuff and was more than rude. The driver ruined the entire experience for my partner and I. We will not be return no matter the course

Course in great shape. Pace of play was a problem. Foursome in front taking pictures on most holes. No Marshall to keep them on pace or to allow us to go ahead of them.

The price is too much expensive for the condition.

Enjoyable day on the course. They just aeration of the greens, but still worth playing. Staff was very friendly, layout was fun, not just straight holes. Will be back again.

The course was an awesome condition and the staff and crew we're very helpful. Geens were a little slow, but conditions in the fairways and the greens were beautiful.

This is a beautiful course and understandably golfing. Hawaii is very expensive. But a five hour round where you are waiting every single shot to play is unacceptable. Played twice in one week and there was never a martial existent to speed up play in addition beverage card, person nowhere to be seen Love the course and it’s in beautiful shape. However, the greens are extremely slow and the piece of place is unacceptable. It won’t stop us from playing it but if you don’t play at 7 AM, expect a five hour round or more.

Second time playing Ko Olina on a short Hawaii trip. Beautiful course. Challenging with the wind, false fronts, and water hazards. Pace was slow as they let a five some play ahead of us, but the course Marshalls somehow got them to speed up. All the staff was exceptionally friendly. The Aloha shines!
