Bunkers
Beautiful course with spectacular ocean views.
Lots of bunkers!! A must play
Yes please!!
Once in a lifetime chance to play this track. We are from Canada and this course was unreal. Helpful staff at check in. Range staff nice. Great carts with gps. Great weather. Great pace. Nothing I can really say wrong about anything.
Such a cool design
The most interesting course design on BI. Elevation change, views, smart golf a must. Play it NOW!!!
Bucket list on Kona - check
Mauna Kea is quite the beast. I can only imagine playing from the tournament tees. Happy to break 90 from the resort tee boxes. Fun to be able to play a course with PC game fame - “Mean 18” from the 90’s
Mauna Kea golf
Difficult, long and challenging golf course. However, always make it a point to play this course. The staff that day, was above and beyond in customer service. Really appreciated them parking my car as parking lot was filled up. Very accommodating, friendly and hospital.
Nice (but difficult) Course
Course layout was great with a variety of holes, however nearly every shot is to a tight, elevated green surrounded by bunkers...if you're not hitting the Green in Reg, expect to double bogey. Very difficult course in moderately good condition (considering the price). Greens seemed a bit funky and were really slow for some reason.
Overall, an enjoyable experience...hole 3 is amazing! Get a drink in the hotel afterwards, really nice property!
High end course not making the cut
Got a discount to play Mauna Kea was a let down. This course rate is normally $295 to play had no one to greet you and carry your clubs to your cart and service was lacking. Not friendly. I recommend there sister course Hapana. They do it right for $100 less.
Spectacular Holes
Loved the the course. Stunning views. Could play it everyday.
A lot of sand
Great condition. A little too many bunkers. Beautiful views!
Great experience
This course has picturesque views and touches the ocean on a few hole. It was well manicured and in great shape. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. All the above lead to a wonderful day of golf.
Great course and reasonable value if not paying rack rate
Solid layout, great greens and multiple tee boxes makes it as challenging or fun as desired.
Nice course awesome signature hole!
This was an amazing golf course in Kona. I would say a must play. The tee box, fairways, and bunkers were well maintained.
My only feedback would be that the hole rotation on the greens should be more frequent and different places on the green.
We were constantly putting over old pin locations. The grain of the grass were not matched when replacing the plug.
Nice course and the all staff were friendly and accommodating.
