About Wailea Golf Resorts (Maui)
Wailea is a Hawaiian resort and residential community in south Maui. It is home to three 18-hole golf courses and a collection of luxury beachfront hotels that offer stay-and-play Hawaii golf packages. Among the brands that are partners with the Wailea Golf Club are the Destination Resorts Hawaii, Fairmont Kea Lani Maui, Four Seasons Resort Maui, Grand Wailea, Hotel Wailea and the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. An Andaz Wailea was also recently added. Fine dining is available at each resort as well as at the Wailea Golf Club's Gold & Emerald course, while an Irish pub is at the Old Blue clubhouse. Five crescent beaches make up Wailea, as well as a Tennis Club and a collection of private homes, condominiums and villas. The Gold and Emerald courses play out of the same clubhouse and were designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Old Blue is the original Wailea course, opened in 1972 and was designed by Jack Snyder.Facts

golf in paradise
a round at wailea emerald is like a fantasy .it's so beautiful.the service is first class.a must play in maui!
Awesome
Doesn't get much better. The setting, range, pro shop and the course are fantastic. Greens were a little slow that day? Whatever!!
Amazing Conditions
From the first step onto the property the view and quality was apparent. The staff addressed you with nothing but kindness and desire to tend to your every need. Absolute amazing service and happy staff. Fantastic practice and warm up facilities. I played as a single and played with the most welcoming members ever, they showed me the ropes and they were more then amazing when helping me with the layout of this stunning course! From start to finish. The staff to the perfection of the grounds keepers, this course with exceed any golfers expectations of what a quality course should be!
Great course
Excellent course with interesting layout. Facilities are excellent and staff was exceptionally helpful and courteous. Course was in great shape.
Great Views & Staff
Super friendly staff, fantastic views, course was in good condition. Greens rolled fine, but were a little brown in spots. I had a great time.
Pitiful Greens
This course has a nice enough layout and some good views. The problems with it are greens that were so thin and brown - almost “lost”...and on top of that they were recently aerated by scraping these nearly dead greens! Cup placement didn’t look like it changed in days making volcano effect around the cups.
The bunkers had no sand in them to speak of, just hard packed dirt mostly with scant sand mixed in.
The front 9 was cart path only but wasn’t very wet at all.
Worst greens I’ve played in a couple of years. They didn’t disclose the green conditions when reservation was made.
Would not play this course again.
Beautiful track
While on a week vacation I booked a round of golf at the Walker Blue Course. I was paired up with a senior couple who reside on the course (house for $3.5M).
I easily made my 10 am tee time, but was disappointed there was no driving range for warming up. That was the only negative comment for my experience.
The greens are interesting and were difficult to read. The locals say putting towards the mountain is slow while towards the ocean is fast.
The tee boxes are clean. The fairways were clean and well maintained. The second cut was not too long; no lost balls.
The bunkers are not too deep and well maintained. I had no difficulty getting out.
All around there were beautiful scenery of mountains ocean and large flowering trees. Absolutely beautiful - unlike my score.
Great course and will highly recommend it to anyone.
Nice course, but...
Nice course and all but I expected more. The guy that checked out our golf cart and clubs seemed Ike he was having a bad day. We played at 2 pm and the golf cart girl said she was just about of everything. The bar doesn’t allow us to buy beers and play on the course with them.
So the course is nice, but the course amenities and all are just so-so. I must say, KAPALUA is better and that’s where I’ll return later this week.
Old Blue comes rhrough
Old Blue Course, best value for the money. Wide fairways and large greens, but not easy especially in the wind.... I’ll be playing here again soon.
Great views but mediocre and overpriced.
As you pull up, you feel the thrill of playing at what you thought was an upscale course based upon the price and location. You quickly learn that there is no range to warm up and so you set off to the first tee cold but ready to let it fly. The greens, fairways, and tee boxes are basic. The bunkers are a disgrace with very little sand. The overall layout is poor and you realize at the end when no one is there to greet you and wipe down your clubs that you just wasted a great deal of money to play an average course. I was not impressed with Wailea Blue and because of this experience, I am not going to make the same mistake playing Wailea Emerald or Wailea Gold..
Green fees too high for quality
Not Plantation Course. Layout has some good designs, others make little sense. Had to do cart path only which made the round gruesome. Not worth more than $150 green fee. Won’t play shain
Maui Vacation
Course was in excellent shape. Staff is very friendly. Lot of space allowing fun play.
Old Blue at Wailea Great Old Track
Played on Friday just before noon with my much better half. Caught up to a foursome on fourth hole who graciously let us play through. Didn’t see anyone again until thirteenth hole. Still managed to finish in a tidy three and a half hours. Course is in excellent shape, several interesting holes and changes in elevation. Generous fairways. Some spectacular ocean views and staff is friendly and professional. A little noisy on finishing holes because of contruction but still a much better value for money than courses at Ka’anapaali.
Emerald the beautiful
Golf in Hawaii is a special treat & the Emerald course @ Wailea on Maui is no exception. From the time you check-in to driving the cart to the stunning 1st tee, nothing is left to chance. The Staff are friendly and the practice facilities great. The course layout is fantastic & they have tee boxes for all levels of players. Views are some of the best on Maui. I’ve played courses from California to Scotland and as far as Thailand, this course is in my top (5).
Can’t wait to return-
Thank you Wailea Emerald.
Great course - better than Kapalua
Played this course 3 times in one week. The weather in Kapalua, where we were staying, was a bit showery so we followed the sun to Wailea. Great idea as we discovered the Gold course. Wonderful layout, great views, great staff.
We belong to a top golf course at home where the green fees are $250/round, so we (my wife and I) are familiar with what a good course looks like. The Gold course is right up there with the top courses on the mainland.
Came back for two additional rounds, and these were just as fun. Great views from most holes, and the condition of the course is top flight.
We played the Bay course in Kapalua and were really disappointed by the course condition and the stupid new hole layout following the recent relocation of the clubhouse (Nov 2018).
Have fun - you won't regret spending the $$ on this loop.
It’s just... Wow
Played this course and had a very good time. The course is in great conditions and it’s fun to play. One of my favorite of all times. I definitly would like to play again.
