Only took me 30 years! Photo submitted by rjhmu on 11/04/2012

sport
The course is not bordered by streets or homes, giving it a resort feel which is rare in the Chicago suburbs. This course has a history of problems with many of its greens. These greens have been replaced but are not in proper condition yet. Course is short, even from the back tees.
Probably wont go back
I played this course the day before and liked holes 4-7 and noone was on the course so went back the next day at the same time to replay but my patients took a little longer than expected and was going to be 20 minutes late and called andrew at club and to my surprise, he wouldnt let me play! Stating that too many golfnow customers abuse the tee time on hot deals. Ive never been refused before and by the end of phone call was at the course and noone was on the course again and there was another golfnow hot deal online in the next couple of minutes that was still unsold. I think he could have easily let me play! Wont go back.
This course is good for all levels of golfers.
My partner asked me to play at the course again, because he felt that the course is friendly with some degree of difficulty at some holes.
Greens were aerated, and had a sand covering on half of them
We should have been warned about the aerated greens or at least been discounted.
Beautiful Resort Setting
Very nice surroundings and resort setting, the course was in overall good shape. However, several of the greens were half sand due to what looks like brown patches that they tried to recover but failed. We played from the Black tees and the track stilled played pretty short, mainly driver then PW on 75% of the holes which got boring. It is worth playing once and probably would play again but only if got a great discount on Golfnow.
Short course with four greens in very poor condition.
This is a fun short course with some challenging holes. Overall, it was a great place to take my 9 year old son who is learning course management and developing his game and doesn't hit it far. Some maintenance issues: No two greens were the same speed and the rough was a bit long. The greens overall were very beat up. Four of the greens were in such poor condition that it was not even realistic to putt on them. A lumpy, shaggy mess. The rest of the course minus the slightly long rough, was in good shape. My only other complaint is that many of the tee boxes were awfully close to the previous green.
Rainy but fun
We golfed on a very rainy Sunday. The course was empty. The experience was good. The course held onto a bit of water and some of the greens were soaked. But the course was a nice challenge but not overwhelming for a relative beginner.
It is a tight course
This course is tight. We spent most of the day with other players in our fairway. We had to duck 6 times for shots not hit true.
It is a nice looking course a few greens need help.
I would not suggest playing it becuase of the stress of people in your fairway and all the stray balls.
I golf to relaxe not to spend the day ducking.
Awesome !!!
Very beautiful golf course Frandly staff Awesome restaurant
Great golf great conditons great time
Despite the greens being aerated which made them jumpy so you didn't get a true roll the course was in almost pristine condition. Not a bare spot in sight, the views were as one member of our group said looked like something you would see out on some of the tour events. Everything was in proper place and I imagine that's how it is every time out. Everyone enjoyed themselves and two of our foursome is planning a weekend golf stay because the course was so nice. The staff were also friendly and helpful. We all will be back.
looking for ok place to play for under 35
greens are ok fairways are ok if you can get it under 35 and if its wide open and you can play fast its ok.
Cheap quick round
This course is just OK - good for a low price and a quick round on a weekday. Haven't played on a weekend, I imagine it will be slower. Greens are in below average shape, slow and some are kind of beat up.
Will Play Again
The course is not long. Mature trees narrow the fairways. Greens have moderate slopes. You have to play well to score.
Short Course, tight fairways, quick greens, lots of bunkers
I love the layout of this course. From the t-box, it is an A+. This course demands a good tee shot to hit the green in regulation (GIR). Not very long course either, so don't need to hit driver on every hole. Some holes reachable par 4's with driver depending on wind. The only downside was slow play. It is a public course and the price is right, so you will get hackers out there that don't belong playing this tough of a course, so that is why round took so long. We waited 5 minutes before teeing off every hole on a Thursday. The fairways are a bit burned out, but summer in this area has beat up many courses, so it is not any worse than elsewhere. The greens are quick, but they are also very beat up, ball bounces all over the place. Greens still better than average in my book though. The rough around the greens is another story. Horrific. Some areas have good thick grass. Other areas have spotty grass, ball sitting in little holes so to speak. So hard to chip. Most country clubs allow grass around the greens to be thick all the way around. This course needs to fix that issue and it would be a course I would play regularly. I don't see myself going back again this year as I have a lot of other courses I would like to play. I will be back next year, and if that doesn't improve, the grass around greens and the fringe spottiness, I will never go back. I am giving them a break for spotty 100degree weather that burned up a lot of courses. Like I said, from each tee box, course was phenomenal
They had a 90 degree rule in effect for no reason.
Two greens were in poor shape, but overall the conditions were good. The weather was beautiful so the course was crowded.
Very nice course with a great staff
A couple of the greens need to be spruced up but overall we had a great time on a good course.
great bargain
Well worth the 39 dollars to play at. Bunkera were well maintained. The course is fairly short but still in great shape
Horrible First Experience
I finished this course in 5 1/2 hrs for a short course is not acceptable. When we contacted the club house to send rangers to speed up the pace, we were told that there were 2 rangers out there but we didn't see a single ranger during my 5 1/2 hr time. It was a horrible experience at the course. Would not recommend.
Beautiful Course
This is the second time I play this course and I was still amazed at how beautiful and well designed it is. Challenging yet enjoyable to play. The fairways and greens were very well maintained and the staff was very friendly and approachable. I accidentally booked my tee time for the wrong day but the desk clerk at the pro shop switched over my date and was able to play without a hiccup. The best part was that he did it without me having to ask for it and went out of his way to accomodate my group.
Eaglewood
This was the 2nd time I've played the course in the last 2 years - the greens on 16 & 17 have been "under repair" both times. Give yourself an automatic 2 putt and save yourself the aggravation of putting on the shaggiest surface you've ever putted on.
Proximity of tees and greens is very uncomfortable - you feel like you should be wearing a helmet.
We paid $38.50 with cart on a Sunday with GolfNow. While that's a great price for golf in Chicagoland on a weekend - we also got what we paid for.
