Worth the money for sure
Unique layout/scorecard. Everything was great for the most part, just the usual people not fixing their digits. Their halfway house didn’t have any food at 10:30am. Pack a snack if you play here early.
Much Better Bunkers!
Hats off to the crew at Willowcret. I haven’t played here in a couple of years since the dirt traps. Much better shape. I love the Dick Nugent layout. It makes for a much more enjoyable round when the course is in Good shape. I look forward to coming back! Staff was great.. cart girl outstanding!

A good test for the game
WIllowcrest has some great challenging holes. I really enjoy playing the course. I recommend they get 2 rangers out there to speed it up. Its always a bit slow and very crowded but it still doesn't stop me from coming out. Also recommend they have a few tournaments. Scrambles, best ball like Cog Hill does. There is no range. A bit or a drawback. They have 2 nets to hit into but you have no idea where the ball goes. Recommend 2 golf launch monitors.
Overall in good shape
Many ball marks on greens.
Check is confusing was told didn’t have to check but found out credit card is just to hold the reservation.

Willow Crest Review
Great Cousre for an excellent value. Advise anyone to play here. It’s a good allocation for city or suburban players with challenging holes that will keep you coming back for more!
Willowcrest is a great test of golf.
Greens are rolling good. Fairways and rough as well as bunkers are in good shape too.
Understaffed
Very few staff, no rangers and no cart staff for most of the round. 95 degree heat index and nobody pushing play. All water coolers completely empty.
Ended up behind a 4 some who thought it was Augusta on Sunday. Combination of slow play and no water/beverages is a recipe for people to keel over.
It is a fair price at $55 (includes cart) but staff isn’t present. There are 3-4 guys when you check in but nobody on the course.
Deceivingly tight fairways and confusing greens
Overall we enjoyed our round! The course was in fair condition and definitely fully booked on a perfect weather Sunday. If you have even the slightest hook or draw, you’ll probably end up in the neighboring fairway or out of bounds. Greens were oddly tricky. They read one way and then did something totally different. Halfway house had decent food but wish they would bring it out to you as the burger took 20 mins so I had to circle back after 10.
Sloooow
There was a fivesome two groups ahead of us. Horrible policy to allow this to happen. 5+ hours to finish. No ranger to push pace.
