Quiet but windy
Overall you get what you pay for. We paid $30 for 9 holes with a cart. Overall the course was in the kind of shape you’d expect for early in the season. Greens were of wonderful. We pretty much had the place to ourselves.
Young lady who appeared to be the only person working was great. She was pleasant and helpful.
Getting better
I’ve played this course periodically over the past 40 years. In the past it was good but after years of flooding from the DP river it got really bad.
But they have turned the corner. They are getting better and the course is more playable than it has been in recent years. They typically have good deals and the course is not overbooked.
I hadn’t played it in years and I just played it for the second time this March.
Right now it’s a little rough from the winter but it looks like it’s bouncing back well.
I intend to play it again soon.
Don’t.
Course was in horrible shape. I’ve seen Edgebrook after a storm in better condition. Not to mention getting hit into multiple times and staff doing nothing about it
Opening Day
It was opening Day. The tee boxes and fairways were ok. The greens were too hard and ball bounced more than it rolled. Hopefully it will improve as it warms up.
BAD
It is criminal how much they charge to play at this course. Greens and tee boxes are so beat up and the fairways are patchy.
Horrible shape
I play a lot of golf. This was my 346th round this year. This course was by far, the worst conditions on any course I’ve played in years. The tee boxes and greens were torn up and the fairways were horrible. I was shocked based on the fact that it’s a Marriott course which I consider to be a quality hotel chain. My wife and playing partner felt the same way. We will not be returning, even if the round was free.
Greens were patchy and inconsistent, fairways were also inconsistent, some where spongey and others were rock hard.
Needs TLC
I have played this course a handful of times over the last year. Unfortunately, the conditions continue to deteriorate. Grounds are very hard, tee boxes are not managed or backfilled and the greens are almost bare on some holes. This really could be a nice course if there was some effort to maintain it correctly. Having said that, you get what pay for, which is why they continue offering groupons to generate business.
This course is in horrendous shape. All the greens and tee boxes are in horrible conditions. And many of the fairways as well. I should ask for my money back, it was that bad. Every green and tee box was brown and full of divots. And many of the fairways looked like they were not watered all summer. They should not even be open if they aren't going to maintain their course.
