Needs TLC
I have played this course a handful of times over the last year. Unfortunately, the conditions continue to deteriorate. Grounds are very hard, tee boxes are not managed or backfilled and the greens are almost bare on some holes. This really could be a nice course if there was some effort to maintain it correctly. Having said that, you get what pay for, which is why they continue offering groupons to generate business.
This course is in horrendous shape. All the greens and tee boxes are in horrible conditions. And many of the fairways as well. I should ask for my money back, it was that bad. Every green and tee box was brown and full of divots. And many of the fairways looked like they were not watered all summer. They should not even be open if they aren't going to maintain their course.
A Course in Terrible Condition
Fairways, greens, tee boxes - everything was beat up to almost an unplayable condition, Only one person working when trying to check in. The office was locked, as the employee was out moving carts. This course needs a good deal of work before allowing people to play.
Condition of course not as good as beginning of season
Fairway and green conditions not good. Many dirt bare points and grass not great either. You could hit a nice fairway shot and it would often land and be deflected by where a bare point and tuft of grass meet.
Sad as it’s a Marriott course and expectation is quality.
Greens
I like this course with some easy holes and some challenging. The greens, however, were the worst I have played all year. Not worth the price when you can’t putt.
O'Connor gets a round in
It is in the worst shape I have ever seen - playing it for 25 or so years..... Terrible and it
has been going downhill for 20+ years but this is a all time low. No way is it worth the money. No wonder pace of play is good - no one is playing this - and I won't be back. Marriott must have dumped this course years ago - cause it's rough, Traps, fairways - Greens everywhere need works its a $25-35 a round type of course.
The course was in super bad condition. Would not play again.
Crane's Landing - Poor
I decided to play this course on a whim looking to get out and play on Sunday. I have driven by the course many times always thinking what the course would be like to play.
Unfortunately the course did not meet my expectations. The course was poorly managed, the fairways and greens were so dry that it made it unplayable. I wound up walking off the course after 10 holes.
I would not recommend this course to anyone, even if it was free.
TOTAL rip off
If I could give 0 stars I would. This has become an absolute goat ranch. Took 5 hours for a round. Previous holes on greens everywhere. I actually asked a starter, "what do you have against water??" Tee boxes are dirt, good look finding grass. I paid $110 for WHAT?? This is a RESORT?!? Then hire a greens keeper!! Suspend all expectations if you have to visit for an event! This is a Marriott, it's absolutely ridiculous. The bartender, however, was lovely.
The course needs a complete face lift. Good layout. It can be one of the better
courses in the northern suburbs

Cracked Greens
I’m leaving this review for a course that I like to play and enjoy the layout. But course conditions were horrendous. All the greens were dried out, burnt out and cracked all over the place. They seriously need a new superintendent because even a blind person could tell that he’s not doing his job. I’ll be back to play when they have real greens to play on. The staff was fine unfortunately they had to take the brunt of the bad course conditions.
