Shame on Marriott
We waited more than 20 minutes to get our carts. Both carts died within 4 holes and had to be replaced. The carts were dirty and beat up. Course needs serious attention. Its a shame Marriott let the place go down, It's a Fazio course and a great piece of property. No bereave cart - no food. Marriott you need some serious help!
Needs work
The course was in very poor condition, especially the teas. There was only one person from the course that I saw no marshals and that person was inside the clubhouse. For the money they charge you would expect better course and amenities. Golf carts need updating to
Needs work
The greens were OK. The tears were in very bad shape
Poor choice
Poor staff if any
No starter
90 degrees no cart girl
No GPS
Course totally overgrown
Spent too much time looking for balls
Fairway rough way to long
Grass off of Fairway was too deep, needed to be cut.
A great lay-out destroyed by poor maintenance
This course has a great layout. Holes 7, 9 and 11 are really challenging. And they are totally ignoring the course and does the absolute minimum to keep it functioning. As you drive in, you are greeted with numerous deep pot holes. The clubhouse is a joke. The building is painted dark brown - possibly to avoid further painting. Putting green is a joke. The nets for practice are there but not usable. Tee boxes have not been repaired for years . Rough areas are overgrown, with extraneous weeds and grass, The fairways and greens are mowed, but look pathetic. AND THEY CALL IT A GOLF COURSE ?
Wet
Course needs some love. Rough is overgrown and covered in weeds, fairways had some standing puddles and swampy areas. With a little rejuvenation this place would be fantastic.
Water Everywhere, Staff Nowhere
On the front 9 I lost two balls into the water and had to take a relief drop. The problem is that both of those balls WERE IN THE CENTER OF THE FAIRWAY. The balls I'd not lost to fairway water hazards had to be frequently moved, dropped onto a surface that was not partially covered in 1/2 to 1 inch of water.
They are having trouble staffing the course too. There was one employee in the pro shop and I saw one course marshal one time. They have no staff for Starter, Food & Beverage.
Could be better
You can score low on the front. Bring fairway woods to score on the back. Course plays longer than 6300 yards. Greens real good.
Fall golf
The conditions and cost were on par for fall season. Pace of play was good. Some greens were rough but to be expected in the time of the year.
Not really a resort type course. IMO
