18th Signature Hole...Gorgeous Photo submitted by JCZents33 on 04/26/2013
Hit the fairways and greens OR else
Course was in great condition by care and design. Advise that you practice hitting out of 3" deep grass prior to your round because if you miss fairway or green you'll find grass thick and deep. Loved the course and setup.
Excellent shape
The winter killed the grass on many of the area courses. this one is in great shape. The rough is punishing.
Belterra May 24th 2014
The Belterra is a great course. The only strikes I have against it is that one of the longest par 4's on the course is cart path only. Why I have no idea. The rough was a little to high which resulted in slow pace of play. Outside of that its a great course. One that is filled with great holes and beautiful surroundings. Will certainly be back.
Beautiful course
We like the course and hope to play again.
Last year we, my wife and I, played twice with morning tee times and we were able to get around in well under 4 hours both times. An enjoyable experience.
This month the pace was terribly slow having to wait on almost every shot. Not as much fun. luckily we were in no hurry to go or be anywhere else after golf. We were surprised that there were at least two twosomes in front of us, we played as a twosome and there were two twosomes behind us. While we do enjoy playing alone we expected to be paired up but the starter said it was optional. We offered to pair up with two other groups both on the first tee and during the round but no takers. Playing in the afternoon as a two we expected to have some waiting time.
Awesome course. Friendly staff.
Course is in great shape as always. Greens roll out perfectly. Staff member Chris is a super friendly guy and a great host. I love playing here and will be back often. Super value! Also, course is VERY friendly to physically handicapped golfers. Thanks again Chris.
Always a must play
The course is always in great shape and challenging. The staff is always friendly.
Great course and amenities.
Course condition was great. Greens smooth and fast. Course fairly open. Staff was awesome - from pro shop to valet service to food service. Overall, great experience. Look forward to playing course again.
Tough but very fun course
The course stays in great shape. The staff is great cant wait to play it again
Awesome place
I love this course, but it kicks my butt. I am a 19 handicap, and feel like I can handle it. I have yet to beat 95 from the white. The course is totally fair. And I did not loose a ball. I bet it would be perfect, for people that are 10 handicap, or less. I drove an hour and a half one way. But it was totally worth it ! Golfnow.com hooked us up for 44 bucks, on the weekend. Had a noon tee time, and was Starving at the turn. Only to find the Grub Shack closed. The beer cart was nice, but we don't drink. when we golf. For 2 more bucks, than our local park course. Is just an incredible deal ! The casino was fun too, and I didn't get home till 10 pm : ) just make a day of it and go !
If yur good : )
Couldn't be better
My brother and I played two rounds of 18 in one day at Belterra. We essentially had the course to ourselves. Due to previous day's rain, it was cart path only which can add a lot of walking and time to your round due to the layout and travel of the course. Well worth it though as the course was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Awesome Golfnow deal. Looking forward to coming back!
Great course conditions and layout!
This course was fun to play. It had generous fairways with a layout that was mildly challenging. I'm sure it would've been quite a bit more difficult from the tips for those who are looking for more challenge. The greens ran a little slow, but that could be because it's early in the season and they're still allowing them to mature a little after winter.
FAST GREENS
Course was amazing. Greens were fast. Top of the line golf resort.
Excellent Experience
Fantastic course and staff. True enjoyment and fun
Great Course
Staff is as good as it gets. Have only played here three times, but will be back plenty.
Great course, no food
I loved the course. It was one of the nicest course I've played at in the Midwest. Unfortunately, I was not happy the course didn't have a true "turn" after 9. This ipset me because we were not made aware if this at checkout and we were all starving. We figured a "cart girl" would show up and she did; however the first time we saw her was on hole 14. To top it off, she only had snacks (crackers and chips). For the price (40), I had a blast and can't wait to go back.
Good day at Belterra
Windy conditions made it very interesting. Only reason conditions didnt get 5 stars was there were still sime remnants of recent aeration. Pace of play was perfect. Staff was very customer service friendly. Can't wait to go back, my favorite course.
excellent but expensive
This is a well designed and well conditioned golf course. It was a pleasure to play. The green fees were a bit high. Otherwse, an excellent golfing exprrience.
march golf
Course was in pretty good shape for march They were starting to airate that day after last golfer tee off. Long course but played pretty good.
Must Play Couese
This course is great. Beautiful views of the hotel and some nice wooded areas. The course is challenging and has numerous greenside bunkers. The wind seemed to be right at us for most of the day which made it challenging but the course is very well maintained and the greens are great.
Great design
Course was in good shape this time of year. Fairways were great. Greens were good. Bunkers were deep and fluffy. Always a good time on this course. Eagled number 18.
