Swan Lake Resort
About Swan Lake Resort
The Swan Lake Resort unfurls across 500 acres of countryside in Plymouth, Indiana. The 36-hole resort is a throwback to a simpler time, opening in 1969. A charming hotel, quaint cottages, rustic cabins and modern villas house guests, while a state-of-the-art conference center, fitness center, pools and golf entertain them. The Dickies restaurant offers a nice menu, and Putter's Bar & Grille is the perfect hangout with TVs and a pool table. A golf academy can help your game if it fails to conquer the two courses.Facts

Great place
Course is always in outstanding condition. Tough, but you can find birdies on it. Practice facility was in good shape
Love it
This is one of my favorite courses in northern Indiana. Always in great condition, challenging and great staff. Get there early before your tee time and enjoy the practice facilities. Can’t say enough about Swan Lake. Have friends that come from Indianapolis area to play here.
Great course
This course has 36 holes and is a great course. Very well kept great price for this course one of the best in the area
Nice Course
Great course, Well manicured. Great greens, Only complaint, the course should have tees for senior women/beginners!
Large Groups
The course was a fun layout, in great shape. Not a ton of trouble, WOULD have made for a nice evening round. Unfortunately the pace of play was terrible. Painfully slow. I ended up playing the front 9 on the black course but had to move to the silver course on the back 9 just so I could finish before dark…
Great find in the middle of nowhere
The course was in great condition, the greens could have been a little faster however the layout and design created some good challenges. I would recommend The Chophouse after play, it was excellent!
Nice golf courses out in the middle of no where.
If you don’t mind the drive you will be pleasantly surprised by this golf facility.
It is located in the heartland amongst farm fields and a very old country neighborhood. Houses right on the golf course are well kept, but on the drive in we went through some older not well kept houses.
The cart attendants meet you at your car once you pull in and are helpful in getting your golf bag loaded on your golf carts which are nice and have decent GPS monitors with distance to each pin.
The courses are both fun to play and there is Beverages available on the course by a beverage cart.
All staff extremely helpful and courteous, however a ranger would have been nice to keep play moving a little quicker.
Overall the mower guys also would stop mowing so they were not a distraction when playing a shot, my only complaint of the course is the bunkers have little to no sand, or the sand that was in them was very packed down and the two sand shots I played were not good shots as it felt like hitting a shot off a hard pan lie.
If you can get a hot deal tee time, it’s great value for the quality of course you get, the grass is super healthy and thick in the rough and around greens and in fantastic shape on the greens and tee boxes.
If you don’t mind the drive it’s a great way to spend the afternoon.
Love Swan Lake
Both courses (Silver and Black) are some of the best most well kept courses in our area. GPS on the carts, always great course conditions, and reasonable rates. Pace of play was slowed by the "stay and play" outings, but they were courteous and allowed our twosome to play through.Love playing at Swan Lake
Worst Pace of Play Course in America
This course has a major issue with pace of play and etiquette. I’ve played here solo a handful of times when visiting my father in law the past three years. And on multiple occasions, while playing a solo round at off hours, I’ve had groups refuse to let me play through. When I try to get the rangers or course staff to help, they don’t do anything to help. I’ve never experienced this level of slow play/indifference to slow play on any other course. Stay away from this place. And it’s a shame because it’s beautiful and reasonably priced. But the people who play there and the staff who work there will do everything in their power to make your experience a miserable one. Play in South Bend or Valpo instead.
Great experience
We’re new to golf and have been to maybe 6 different courses around the Mishiana area all under $80 per person range. This course rocks. Carts have range finder / gps. Food was good. Staff was friendly. Greens we very nice. Highly recommended.
Pretty Nice, great value
Course was in awesome shape. Very well taken care of. The value for the price is awesome! If it was closer to a major city it would be over $100. The only thing is the carts are old and beat up but they are out fitted with GPS screens which is nice. Stayed at the hotel for $189 and I think the green fees were about $55-60. Will be back for sure.
Always a great experience
Love both courses at Swan Lake, great value through Golfnow, course is alway in great condition, GPS on each cart.
