Great Course/Tough Round
The course was in excellent condition and the weather was fantastic.
One of our party was not having a normal round of golf and we hurt for him.
However even with his struggles he praised the course and the greens and wished he would have visited them more. L.O.L!
Thanks, we had a great day!
Make the drive from New Orleans!
Well worth the hour drive from New Orleans. Greens are better than anything that does not require a membership in New Orleans and it is challenging and beautiful. I will be back at least once a month.
We are so glad you made the drive to come out and play our course! We are already looking forward to having you back here soon!
Nice course
Nice course for the price and the staff are terrific!
Thank you so much. We work hard to deliver an exceptional experience, and cannot wait to have you back here soon!
Thanks so much for taking the time to rate us 5 stars!
Schwingggg
Course is playing great right now- keeps getting better by the week. Have been continuing to bring some new faces out and we’ve all been happy- highly recommendable to get out and play.
Wow, thanks so much for the wonderful review! We're glad it just keeps getting better, we are working hard to ensure you have a safe, but also enjoyable time. We are looking forward to having you back here again soon!
5 out of 10
Played last year and it was in 10 times better condition.
For the price you got to have it stay up.
Greens were bumpy because they had been punched and the grass had grown back in.
Fairways were bare in many spots and the sand traps were not raked at start of day.
The layout is always challenging.
The pace of play was good.
It's a good course but will wait until they get it back up like before.
Maybe it's because we drove an hour to get there and paid almost $60.
One of the young staff guys needs a lesson on friendliness and I will leave it at that.
Thank you for visiting us at Carter Plantation. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We value feedback, so we will take this and work to make some changes. We hope you join us for another round soon!

A must play course in Louisiana
Course is really nice! I have played here before. Pace of play is always good. Staff is very friendly!
Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the holes are not marked with signage.
Very challenging, with lots of bunkers protecting greens!! Bring your iron game!!
Really Is a must play course for Louisiana residents and visitors!!!
Thanks so much for the review, as well as the feedback about the signage! We hope to have you back here again very soon!
Thanks for rating us 5 stars! We're so glad you had such an enjoyable time!
Thanks for taking the time to rate us 4 stars!
We're delighted you had an enjoyable experience!
We apologize your round was short of our standards, and we would love to hear more about your experience. Feel free to reach out to the golf shop to comment further. Thanks again for coming out to the course and we hope to see you back here again soon!
Thanks for the 3 star rating!
Great designed course, poorly maintained
I was misled..You have this course rated a 5 star...That is very incorrect....5 Star Courses don't have CRAP Grass growing on the tees and sides of the greens....Fairways had bare places and CRAP Grass in them...Carts didn't have GPS Screens???? The people that rated this course a 5 Star need to play one....They are badly mistaken...
Hi! Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. Please know the current conditions are by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We will continue to work towards a 5-star experience and we hope to see you back!
This place is always on point
Everything was nice can't wait to play there again
Damp but Doable
Two days of heavy rains preceeding round but coarse was in good shape. Fairways were a little damp but greens were in great shape. On course facilities were nice and clean. Staff are always helpful and cheerful. No problems with carts or facilities. I really enjoyed the terrain with all the contours on the greens . Lots of water on this course , which I enjoy also. Only drawback on this particular day was the sand traps still had rain water in some of them. just stay out of the sand.
Great Golf Destination
There is a lot to like about Carter Plantation. The course layout is very good and it is a course you can walk. The greens are in great shape and are just a little above average on speed.
The course allows you to play a lot of different shot shapes and is fairly open so its fun. The course was wet so it played a little longer than normal but still can score. This is a course I am looking forward to playing once the weather gets nice and the grass is growing.
Thanks so much for the review! Not all days can be our best golf days, but that is the beauty of new days, and new rounds! We hope to see you and your party back here very soon!
