Wonderful experience
I can’t say enough about this course. The course is beautiful, the surrounding area is beautiful, and Max is an amazing pro in the pro shop.
From the minute I pulled up until we completed our round, it was an amazing experience.
This is the best course that I have ever played on. And, with the deals you get from Golfnow it is unbeatable. The 17th and 18th holes alone are worth the entire price of admission :-)
Great course
This course is always in good shape and today did not disappoint. Greens were excellent and fairways were very good. Course is very challenging. Our group moved quickly and staff was excellent. We talked to the course pro and promised to return
nice course with beauty
Played today for first time in two years at River Marsh. The course is in good condition, and the greens were really nice. Some very challenging par 3s. This is a course where you can have a great round if you keep the ball in the fairways. Winds made it challenging today, with some heavy crosswinds and winds in your face off the tees. Several very picturesque holes and lots of wildlife made this a relaxing round though.
Great Value
The pace of play was perfect. Greens were also in perfect condition. I would definitely play this course again.
Looks to be amazing course
We played the day after a storm. Course was cart path only. Ground keepers were doing their best to get it up to par. Great bunkers, soft greens, wide fairways, be back when it's dry
Course in great shape despite horrible drought
We were totally surprised how good the fairways look since there had not been rain for almost 6 weeks Greens in good shape it is pricey but you’re definitely getting a better course than average staff is great
Better in the past
I drove 1 hr 20 min to play.. I had a free coupon to play and glad I did. The walk up rate of $129 is way too high for the quality of course. The Tee boxes are in awful shape, 3 or 4 fairways also in rough shape. The greens were very nice. Still amazed at how many ball marks I saw that were not repaired. As a twosome we played the first 15 holes in under 3 hours. Then ran into a 4 some that would not let us through. ( 2 couples). This is what you get at a resort course. Next time I will drive to Bulle Rock and for $99 is way better shape.
Fairways and tee boxes not good
I played this course in June and the layout was challenging and the course was in good condition. The layout is obviously the same, but the course conditions have seriously declined. The tee boxes and much of the fairways are without grass in way too many places. And given the recent rain and the lack of grass to absorb it, it was oftentimes a case of hitting out of the mud. if you could even find your ball, often plugged on the fairway.
Just not an enjoyable course right now; they need to do some serious work to improve condityions..
Pleasant surprise
This course was on my favorites list for years, I received a golfnow hot deal that I couldn't refuse. We booked a night at the Hyatt and came over to play from the DC area. Had problems with the golf now web site, although it listed four players it would only let me book one player and I needed 2. Called Abby and she was very gracious and helpful and offered to give me the lowest rate possible. I contacted the golf now customer service and they resolved the problem. My wife and I had a great round of golf. Staff were friendly, courses in walking distance from resort. 18th hole is very beautiful.
Less than 2 hours (1:50) from the DC area. Great get away, great course. Will play again soon!
very comfortable
Played at our own pace and thoroughly engoyed the round.
Hot day
Rough too high. Needs cutting. Course decent shape and layout. Greens very good. Very hot day. Enjoyed myself.
Great course
Very nice course great shape good price just had to turn the heat down hot day
Sand traps
The course was amazing. The only complaint I have is the sand traps. Yes I spent way too much time in them. They didn’t have enough sand and the edges could have been kept up better. Again the course was amazing.
Always a winner
Always a lot of fun. Always in perfect shape and the staff are fantastic.
Loved it
Bent greens, bent fairways and tees.
Great condition, great layout with a good mixture of holes; short, long, hard, easy, etc.
Loved the course and will surely be back!
