River Marsh
The weather was perfect, the pace was great, a really fun course.
Fun layout, pace of play issues
The course is fun. Great layout and wonderfully manicured.
The pace of play can be an issue. High handicap players are often on the course and it can bottle neck easily. Consider trying to play through if you can.
Overall this course is great. The 18th hole bunker along the water is now a waste bunker as it seems as though they have given up on maintaining an actual bunker there.
Could be great
Nice course. Got a great golf now rate. Course could be epic. Not in the best shape with some strange weed that has overtaken the fringe around greens & is spotty throughout fairways. The greens are super spongy. Almost too spongy. Bunkers are very soft. Almost too soft. But the course layout itself is great. Beautiful track. If they invested some money into more upkeep this place could be top 5 in Maryland public access. A few memorable holes. Huge fairways. Wind off the water comes into play. Main negative was the water containers were too far spaced out and a couple were empty. Only saw bev cart once around hole #3. It was a very hot day. Overall I had a great day, great guy I paired up with. Didn’t play great but that’s on me. I will def play here again.
Great Course at River Marsh
Course was in excellent shape! Generous fairways, but msfe you think. Pace of play was great. Many challenging holes, including the signature 17th. Golf Now discount rate made it a better deal, but I would also come back and play at the full rate!
Fun track
Other than the greens having some divot marks, and running a little slow, course was in good shape.
Another great day at Hyatt!
Conditions are great! (Except sand traps)
Whoever came up with putting a stake on fringe at depth of flag on green needs a raise! Even knowing pin position they were very helpful. Every course should do that.
Was a blistering hot day and they had a cart come around with free water and cold towels! Thanx!!!
Nice meal at their Blue Point restaurant after our round.
I shot an 89 which made it even better!!!
Not what it used to be…
This course is not what it used to be. It is overgrown, the rough is filled with clover and overgrown. The pace of play is ridiculous and the ranger was present only after we called. We ran into a 7-some on 6 that we were waiting on the tee box for and they wouldn’t let us play through, so we passed them. Then, we ran into a twosome on 7 in which one person was coaching and lining up every single shot for the next person including spending no short of 5 minutes with him ON the tee box while we were trying to be nice and wait, so we passed them…then we ran into a 6-some and that is when my husband absolutely had it. This was all on the front nine. We called in, they seemed surprised. If the ranger was truly making rounds, it would have been evident. Just upsetting to pay that much money and have that kind of experience. I talked this course up to my son as we took him there for his birthday, it was absolutely beautiful when we played there 7/2/2022 and it was a less than desire able experience today…golf is an 80% mental sport and waiting for every single shot gets you out of tempo, not to mention the frustration when other people have absolutely ZERO golf etiquette. The cart girl stopped her rounds at 1:30, before we even teed off and she told us it was her last round so if we wanted anything, we needed to get it. The brand new carts are nice though!
Great course
The course was in excellent condition. Challenging and fun.
