You get what you pay for! The course is beautiful and very challenging!

This is a fun course on a beautiful piece of property.

It has plenty to offer any caliber of player.

My only criticism is that people don’t fix their ball marks on the greens

I’m a scratch golfer, so I know a thing or two. Given the price and hype I thought this was going to be a great play, but I was wrong. Waited to hit every shot on every single hole. Either get rangers to push bad golfers or spread out the tee times. The course conditions given its mid summer we’re honestly atrocious. Multiple greens had disease and almost every one was absolutely annihilated by ball marks. the tee boxes were more or less destroyed. Fairways were actually in decent shape and the first cut of the rough was probably the best grass on the course. Overall just not what I thought it was going to be. Really hoping they take note of this and make some improvements. Focus less on the off course amenities and make the course the highlight of your resort!

Great, challenging layout with many views of Ford Lake. 2 suggestions: I was surprised that there are no ball washers on the course--or on the carts. Also, it would be great if they could find some way to limit the goose population. Sometimes they take over the greens, and you have to watch your step and look in the fairway to check whether that really is mud on your ball or what. Less gross would be nice. Hence the first suggestion.

Greens had some spots that were in rough shape. Goose poop was out of control on some holes where you couldn't walk or play your ball without stepping in it.

Amazing course, fun to play and the scenery is an added bonus. Plenty of dog leg shots, leading to some blind tee shots but the technology on the carts digital screen help with yardage and reference points. Pace of play was a tad slow but that was only because a tournament was playing at a 6hr pace so it slowed several groups behind. Otherwise pace of play was great.

I usually play Eagle Crest a few times a year. Well, I used to. It's highly unlikely I'll play it again this year. They've jacked the prices up way to high. I don't care how good the course is. Or how nice the amenities are. Or how friendly the staff is. All of those have always been a given, and that hasn't changed. But $85 for a round of golf is too much to play it regularly. Three rounds at Eagle Crest equates to five at Washtenaw CC or six at Pierce Lake, which are just as nice in many ways and are in Washtenaw county.

I know the cost of fuel is up. But the jump from last year to this year to play is ridiculous. Especially since the one thing the course lacks is a ranger. They apparently count on the cart GPS system to keep you on track. It doesn't help, because bad golfers don't care, and 5 1/2 hours is nuts for 18 holes on a weekend. Or any other day, frankly.

I can't complain about the tees, greens or fairways. They were great. The bunkers are usually stellar, but the greenside one on 14 was awful. That was a shock. Thankfully I avoided any others.

The first cut of rough was more like a second cut, three to four inches thick. I lost two balls that were less than five yards off the fairway because of how deep it was. The US Open has spotters to flag balls in the rough. A GPS system doesn't help with that. I've never seen it that high there before. I want to think it was an anomaly.

They also have a disaster in front of the 12th tee. Not sure what they're doing. Repairs? Redesign? But it was a surprise how it looked. I give that a pass though, because the really do a great job elsewhere. If they cut the rough and drop the price to around $60, I'd go back. Otherwise, the two I mentioned, Lake Forest or Leslie Park are other viable options I can play far more often.
