ok, not great
I played the front 9. There was a lot of goose poop. The cart was old and jerked a LOT when it finally decided to go.
Course was in ok shape, not great. Somewhat dry.
Night and day
I played bay valley 3 years ago and haven't been back until today... it's such a pleasant experience. From the kindness of Charles in the clubhouse to the starter who gave me a few good tips on the course. I felt very welcomed. The course is well taken care of, greens are true. Challenging enough but gives you some opportunities to make birdies. I love the pebble beach feeling holes with water going all the way up the left side of the hole and trouble if you go to far right. I will definitely be back very soon! Highly recommend for golfers in this area
Wow this course needs help
Course was one of the worst courses I’ve played. The whole course was burned out, parts of the rough that hasn’t seen a mower in weeks. Paid for 18 but only played 9 because no ranger on the course keeping pace of play up which lead to 3 hour 9 holes. This course needs a new owner or someone who cares!
Alot better than last year
The tees were a bit hard. Maybe need more water. Some of the greens were spotted but for the price they are charging not bad condition.
Solid Value - Slow Pace
For the value the course is in great condition. Unfortunately the pace of play was horrible. 5+ hours to play 18 is unacceptable. Better time management and enforcing faster pace of play was needed.
Exceptional value for a course back on the rise
This course clearly had its heyday back in the 80s and 90s and went through quite the downturn. Fortunately, there are new owners who are putting money and effort into the course and resort the greens are exceptional especially this early into the season. The course layout is spectacular and provides a challenge from all tees. Seems like the chorus can get a little muddy at times, but I have confidence that this will continue to improve as the weather does as well. Played here three or four times already this season and have been incredibly impressed with the value. I have no doubt the price will soon go up as people realize how great it is.
Improving
First and most importantly, the greens were perfect-smooth and fast. A treat tour on. Fairways were good. Several staff working on the sand traps - huge improvement Tee boxes were ok. Really impressed and glad to see all the improvements.
Bounce Back Year
Management put a lot of money into fixing this course up. Outside of the wet spots, course was in great shape. Now that it's back on GolfNow, I'll be golfing here at least a few times a month.
You can already see a difference
Played it in the midst of days when we were getting tons of rain, so it wouldn’t be fair to review the overall course conditions. What was impressive were the greens. In the end, if the fairways and roughs continue to get the attention that the greens are already are, then the course is worth playing.
Doug knows how to run a program/course and motivate employees. Things are looking up for a course whose layout has long been fun for golfers in the Tri-Cities when properly cared for.
