Thought the course was maintain pretty well. A handful of brown grass on the greens. Will play here again

Great golf course in excellent condition. Fast greens. Very playable course.

The course was in good shape for this time of year. Sand was a bit grainey compared to the fine sand we have in West Michigan. Some beautiful water holes that can jump up and bite you if you are not cautious.

Coarse is in great shape. Play time was a little long. We were backed up 3 deep on a few holes and didn't see a ranger to help move play along.

The guy in the pro shop said if you start now you should have the back nine wide open he was right and we turned to the front nine with smooth sailing We were going to eat dinner there but went in the restaurant and could not even get a drink I mean no one was around to wait on customers. We cut our losses and headed down the road to eat somewhere else

Several holes can get you in trouble with the driver, but the course is just long enough to force you to use it. Several greens had rough/dry patches.

Very nice course for the money. Well manitained. Staff was friendly.

People in the area know this course as the gem that has gone downhill through the years, that is no longer what it will be known as. The new grounds keeper is taking special care of the course. A lot of the trees have been trimmed to allow better views of the course and also no lost balls under the untrimmed pines. Fairways were of professional quality and the greens are fast enough to challenge but not so fast to break your spirits. Great golf indeed!

Our group was having a nice round until the ranger started follow us around and telling us that we were playing too slow. Come to find out he just wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be slow for his tee time. We saw him teeing off as we finished. We played with a steady pace and only stopped for the very friendly beverage cart lady. Nothing ruins a good round more than being rushed for no reason.

My very first impression was not that great as the man working the pro shop seemed a little unfriendly and somewhat rude but when we went out to the cart area the man working there was great. Once we got the go ahead to golf this same man came up to us asking if this was our first time and when we said yes he gave us a course layout book and some very helpful tips all the while smiling and laughing with us, this is the kind of person that will bring us back there. We also met a ranger on hole two that came up and spent a few minutes talking about the course and the next few holes and how they would be a challenge and he was dead on, thank you for the tips. The course itself was in great shape, the greens did have some kill off on them but that in no way made the day bad, the place was very fun to golf at I had a great round and will be back.

Nice course but the greens were some what ruff. the wildlife was great. Lost some balls in the water hazards. Will play the course again.

It was a very pleasing round, an play was at a good pace for play. Very enjoyable.

Golf now rate was $25 for 18 and a cart. Good value. Course has many good holes.

We enjoyed playing here and were treated very nicely by the pro shop & ranger. You can get into trouble on this course if you aren't careful if you don't keep it in the middle. It was in good shape and we would play here again.

Everything was great..No questions about golf now hot deal have me receipt and said have fun.. great bar for a few beverages after the round

The staff here was great and so was the course. Being new to golf, we've only played a few courses in Michigan but this is so far, one of our favorites. We will definitely be back. The grounds were in good shape and everyone was there to have a good time.

While not the best in terms of course conditions, I can't think of a better, more challenging layout than Bay Valley. The ability to move the ball in both directions in essential. Forced carries, lots of water and well placed bunkers.

This is a great value for the money. Late in the year this course can get tore up fairly badly...but this time of the year it's in great condition! Weather was perfect!

The greens are always in great shape and the staff is super friendly. For a real challenge, play this course from the Blacks!

Close to town, little wet with recent rain, convenient bathrooms and snack/beverage cart, nice greens despite rain

I had heard this course was exceptional from friends and family thru the years. However, I thought this course was just average despite playing just after heavy rains. Bunkers had medium sized rocks and not enough sand. Greens did not roll true with some extreme bumps in them. It was difficult to obtain food fast for the turn. Had to go eat in bar which took a while even tho there were only a few other people. Overall facilities were dingy and falling apart. Bathrooms for players on course were portajohns. Not impressed with course.
