Reviews
Very well groomed & foliage simply wonderful!
This place is a Jewel, everything was perfect- I actually played 6 strokes better than usual, I would attribute that to fast & well maintained greens!
Love the course
Great course. The grounds, the greens were great. I love playing this course and have played it for the past 5 years.
beatuful layout
The course was in great shape. The play time was excellent. Had a great time.
Grand View
We found the course to be in great shape. The fairways and greens were well cared for. While it wasn't a very difficult course, slope for women was 110, it offered enough of a challenge for a good game of golf. The clubhouse only offered soft drinks. Also, they had no water or cart service available on the course so bring your own if you think you may get thirsty.
didnt golf no tee times they had an outing
they had 100 people on an outing and told us we would have to wait two hours so we left and I still nee to be reimbursed from golf now for your fees
Beautiful Challenging Course
Played mid-day on a weekday, so not crowded. Condition was great but frequent rain this year may account for top condition. First time playing this course so it was difficult to know where to hit the balls as some of the greens were not visible from the landing zone off the tee. Fast greens with some contour. Most rough was tall grass so finding balls was nearly impossible. Looking forward to playing again.
Very well maintained
Really enjoyed playing this course. It was very well maintained. Got a great price on playing it. It is a course where you need to stay in the fairway, as it is a bit tight. Will play it again when I return to Michigan next year.
Tough Track
Tight, hilly, long, and blind shots. Have played this course for years but not lately. Excellent playing conditions. Bring golf balls. Not much play in the middle of the week. Had the place to ourselves. Nice.
Grand View is well named
Beautiful course - well maintained - worth the drive if you just enjoy golf. Don't expect a fancy clubhouse but the staff is friendly.
The Value
Fun course, few very tough holes, #3 comes to mind, need to be in the fairway. Great course and a great value.
Grand View = Grand Value
I've played this course 3-4 times now and it continues to impress me with it's overall value. The course doesn't look like much from the road and, indeed, it does not have the design strength of its more famous neighbor, Thoroughbred GC, just down the road. But, for the money, this is a terrific little track. It's not long, and you can spray it a bit, but there's enough trouble lurking in the right places. The views are terrific and the variety of the holes is nice.
Grand View at its best
Grandview is a great course to play. A great value compared to the resort close by. I am a average golf and find it challenging. My wife, a non-golfer, rode along and enjoyed the beautiful views. High on my list of the great golf courses in the area.
Excellent Value and Fun Course
Try and play here at least once a year, this was my first time this year, and glad I made it out. Thoroughly enjoyed my round, the course was playing as great and fun as always! Highly recommend playing here.
Great Course
First time playing and was somewhat challenging due to not knowing the layout. Not a lot of level lies and some blind shots, but overall would definitely recommend playing. However, do bring a couple extra sleeves of balls just in case.
This course is in great condition.
Beautiful course with rolling hills and wonderful views. Challenging course that is in great condition. Well worth the full price but if you can get a discount you might as well be stealing! Definitely one of the best public courses you will ever play.
Steve
Course and greens were quite dry. Greens were long and slow and varied from front side to back side.
Awesome day!
GolfNow provided a great price during s hot deal special. The course was well groomed and was a challenging course with hills, rocks, and water. We would definitely take advantage of future specials.
A Very Nice Course, but...
I love this course and I usually make the drive and play it 4 to 6 times a year. It is beautiful and it is challenging without being gimmicky.
Ordinarily the greens are pristine and fast, but this year so far they are shaggy and too slow for good putting. I suspect that this is because it has been so cold in Michigan this spring that they are protecting the greens from frost. But, when the weather improves, I hope the greens return to their normal condition.
Best Groomed course in western Michigan
If it was closer Id play this course before I would others in the area
Our best golf day of the year!
Played this course about twenty five years ago; forgot what a beautiful layout this course is especially with the fall colors every hole has interesting contours and features; however unless you hit a 250 plus drive play the 18th conservatively one of the most beautiful and challenging holes in western Michigan.
