About Double JJ Resort

The Double JJ Resort in Rothbury is part dude ranch, part golf resort and part water park, a mix that can entertain all ages and tastes. The 2,000-acre resort features rustic cabins and log homes nestled in the "Back Forty". Just up the road, there are suites, condos the Loft Hotel, all historic accommodations with western-themed decor and modern amenities. The resort offers lodging from luxury suites with fireplaces and jacuzzis to a quiet retreat in the campground or cabins. Dog-friendly rooms are a part of the frontier (the main check-in). Families gravitate to the Gold Rush indoor water park and outdoor water park, horseback riding, mini-golf and more. Golfers can tackle the scenic and demanding Thoroughbred by Arthur Hills or the recently purchased Grand View Golf Club two miles away in New Era. Fun and challenging course!

I was visiting from out of state and had a chance to play Grand View. All I can say is I was very impressed by how well maintained this course was and how great the views were. I play all over the US and for the money, there are not many courses that compare to Grand View. I look forward to coming back next time I'm in Michigan. Highly recommend!

Best area course for your money!

This is such a beautiful course and probably the best value in West Michigan. Very well maintained and greens roll very smooth. The elevated tees make for spectacular views throughout the course and I can't wait to come back and play!

Favorite course

I would rate this course 5 stars, but the weather has made the greens very slow. The greens has some disease and the fairways had quite a few moles. I'm sure these problems will be corrected soon, after which I would rate this as one of the finest coarses in Michigan.

Awesome track

This golf course is an amazing track. I love the elevation changes and the fact that it forces you to move the ball both left and right off the tee. The quality of design is reflected in the variety of holes. You don't ever feel like you are playing the same hole over again. In fact, there are multiple "memorable" holes. The greens are not quite back yet from the winter snow but they are getting close. Once the course gets to mid-season shape it will be a "must play" for anyone visiting or living in the area. I was able to find very affordable rates through golf now that made this value very intriguing. Definitely worth the drive!

HIdden Gem Along Michigans West Coast

Amazing layout and extremely challenging from the back tees. Nice wide fairways allow for fair landing areas despite the length. Nice course

Poorly maintained, course should be closed for season

Course requires fall leaf removal from fairways and greens. Greens recently aerated covered with sand. Putty is impossible.
Course has chemicals applied, both spray and dry compounds.
