Reviews
challenging but accessible
Beautiful course, well maintained, choice of tee boxes will challenge any level of golfer.
If you like fast greens you will love this course
Great course, good course conditions, very fast greens. Loved it!
This course is spectacular and the views are to behold
Played the course for the first time, not sure why I waited so long. The leaves were just changing and the views are amazing for the many elevated tees. Make sure you play the proper tee boxes to gain the full experience
Great course, great value
The best course in West Michigan I have played. And with the 'Golf Now' discount, a super great value. Each and every hole is a super golf experience. Very challenging course, so I played the front tees to make more enjoyable. I will go back.
Amazing potential
This course was once one of the top new course in the country via Golf Digest but it has fallen on hard times and gone through multiple owners. It is on amazing land with rolling hills and plenty of lakes. The greens were in very good shape, fairways a little shaggy and most bunkers filled with dirt mixed with stones.
The big issues come when you take a closer look. Tons of maintenance needed to kill weeds starting to take over the fringes of the gold course, such as the rough. Edges of the bunkers are nothing more than weed beds that will only get worse over time.
Range balls were given out in a used plastic grocery shopping bag.
All said because of the quality of the putting surfaces and the lay out it was still a great value at under $40 including cart and balls.
The course is in great shape
Grandview golf course is in excellent shape! I try and make it to this course at least once a year, and it never disappoints. The course is a little short from the white tees, however, the blues will increase the difficulty. Also, the course is hilly adding to this wonderful courses features. The short 98 yard par three island green is always fun. The greens were true and in great condition. The best part of my round was slam dunking a 65 yard approach out of the sand on hole 10 for an eagle! Overall this course is fun and I would recommend it to any of my friends.
Pristine Shape
What a great course in west Michigan! The course is in great shape and I think it's even more scenic than the Thoroughbred at Double J. Can't wait to go back. Staff is very friendly and I enjoyed the round we played!
greens held shots, rolled at consistent speed
course was a fun, and challenging from the white tees. greens were perfect. pick your tees wisely on this track,as play from back tees will definitely impact your score!
Favorite Course
This is truly one of our favorite courses to play. The course is always maintained very well and the staff is very friendly. It's always a great experience to play Grand View.
This course is a well maintained course.
Grand View is a very playable, yet challenging course. The greens are in great shape and roll true. Shot selection is key as this isn't your typical bomb and go course. You'll enjoy this course!!!
Really good course with very challenging holes.
Great deal on a course that I believe was closed for a couple of years but was in really good shape. A very challenging course.
Great golf course that made you feel like your group was the only ones on the course.
This is a very challenging layout that requires all your shots with every club in your bag , and you better have several golf balls in your bag.
Great Value at the price I paid.
My only complaint is that this course cold be just a bit more manicured. The layout is challenging. The landscape is impressive.
Excellent pace!!
This course was an exceptional value through GolfNow at $20!!!
The regular rate of $69 is definitely overpriced. I am sure that is why there were so few people there. Nice course but should be about $45 regular rate. Great course to play in the Fall, very scenic with lots of trees.
this course was in great shape
this course was great to play. it was very challanging
hilly, curvy, difficult but fun!
Best to stay in the fairway as many of the holes are divided by tall grass and weedy bushes. I lost 6 brand new balls, but found 12! Still, a very pretty course, but challenging, lots of fun.
Holes are challenging, with nice scenery
I played this course for the second time and was in better shape this time around. The play was incredibly slow 6hours is a long time to play 18 holes. They need a ranger to speed things up, it shouldn't matter if the 8 some that was ahead of us stayed at the resort or not. We payed or money to play.
This course is beautiful
First time booking with Golfnow, good experience. Course was ready for us. Course is in excellent condition. A real value in Northern Michigan
Beautiful piece of property! Very scenic
The fairways and greens were in great shape. The tee boxes were not so great, especially the red tees.
White tees is all the golf you want!
The course is well maintained with the exception of the cart paths which have fallen in disrepair. The average player from the White tee markers will have all the course they want (average driving the ball 200 to 250 in play). It is demanding shot making but fair. We played just after it rained so the fairways were not fast. The greens were in excellent condition. The only problem I would have is on the 9th and 18th greens attract the geese and their droppings (for us greens still had droppings on them). The staff I wouldn't say were unfriendly but with the rain sure felt like we were an inconvenience and not necessaryily happy to see us. Due to the rain in the morning no one was in the snack shop. But no hot dogs or pre wrapped cold sandwiches available either. I would still recommend highly at the $41 we paid to play this course. It WILL TEST YOUR game. You need to think this course not pull out driver and blast away.
