Par 3 third hole. Hard to see elevation change, but it’s pretty significant. I think this is the “signature hole,” because it’s the one featured on the website. Photo submitted by jt20sb22 on 07/20/2024

Beautiful Northern Golf Course
We played on one of the hottest days in the earning afternoon. The pace of play was a little slow, but I think that is because there was a large group that went off before us.
The course is very hilly with water on just a few holes. The course was in very good condition. The greens were fast with some tricky undulations.
Would definitely play this again when we're back in the area.
Spruced up spruce course
Had a day that started out cool, and windy but cleared up and became warm. Course was in good shape even though there was heavy rain the day; before didn't affect the course too much (slower greens), a few wet areas but overall course in good shape. Greens/fairway well maintained, but not consistent for all holes.
Just a friendly course to play as long as they don't plug the course with too many golfers. Long travel times between holes can cause some hang ups when course is overloaded.
Not a short course
Friendly staff. Kids to help load and unload bags. Snack hut at turn with burgers and brats. Beverage cart came by 3-4 times. Nice course fairways are fair with trees lining both sides. Holes are longer than most courses in area. Definitely will return.
Great Course - Great Value
Golfed on a rainy wet Saturday; but it couldn't have been better! Started out wet; but soon the rain moved off; no sunshine! The course was in excellent shape, a little soggy on the back nine, but still was enjoyable to play. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Understand that this course can get busy being associated with the resort; but we'll be back.
Decent course, but don't go out of your way.
This is not a bad golf course, but it's nothing to write home about. The conditions are fair and the layout is pretty decent. The staff could be a little friendlier and the pace of play is usually slowed down by people who don't golf much. Overall, if you're in Cadillac and have played some other courses first, give Evergreen a shot. There are certainly better courses in the area, however.
Good Day at the Spruce
It was a good day at the Spruce course. Conditions were soft and the weather was a perfect fall day.
Nice golf course
The course was in good condition for this time of year, the staff was very friendly, and the course was not busy at all. I play here a few times every summer and am never disappointed! Cheap rates for an above average golf course!
A good challenge.
A good northern Michigan course, plenty long, traps, water, mature trees, woods and tricky greens. All you could ask for.
Bad Timing
Wedding group on course. Play a little slow. Seven players tried playing together and had to be separated by management.
Evergreen joy
My wife and I really enjoy the layout of this course. Very pleasing to the eye, and wife likes the advantage on most forward tees.
Group in front played very slow, but eventually let us through.
Overall, a very pleasant place to play. We will return for sure.
Need more signage for the Norway course.
We payed for the spruce course. After the first hole the starter put us on the Norway course. Didn't like that at all. Nice course but hard to navigate and we felt too close to others teeing off on the spruce course.
Very nice!
Great conditions.Friendly staff. Wonderful golf experience.
Great app
GolfNow now was easy to use. This was my first time using this app. The price was great and so was the course.
Older course - w/ some newer improvements
Staff friendly and helpful 5 Stars for them.
Spruce course is in best shape I've seen over the last couple of years. Fairways in decent shape, greens are a mixed bag, with most being OK. Probably could be plugged and rolled - definitely needs overseeding in the thin areas
Tee boxes need major work, not being kept up, hammered, lots of divots, hard finding a Tee-spot especially on par 3's. Bunkers - 1 star; need major work/sand; most are gravely sand hard packed and not maintained, weeds in the bunker- sand and raking them would help.
Small improvements could make this a; " I want to play this course again!"
Northern Michigan Courses with Southern Michigan Prices
I love a good deal (isn't that why we're on GolfNow?!), and I love new courses. I'm a beginner with less than 25 rounds under my belt, but flat wide open courses bore me. I didn't have a problem with this course, but the men in the group did seem to struggle with the narrow fairways and woods. The greens seemed like they could use a little attention, but most of it was to blame on the wind and season (the cottonwoods seemed to be shedding.) The fairways and rough all seemed to be in good condition, and I only spotted a few broken tees and cigarette butts on the tee boxes. All in all I really like the types of established wooded courses that northern Michigan provides better than the farm fields in my local area, and this was no exception. And also worth the stop near Cadillac for dinner ;)
