Par 3 third hole. Hard to see elevation change, but it’s pretty significant. I think this is the “signature hole,” because it’s the one featured on the website. Photo submitted by jt20sb22 on 07/20/2024

Challenge yet fun!
I really liked the course and every aspect of it. There were a few greens that had bad spots, but did not affect the experience.
Actually enjoy the wooded layout better than El Dorado
Played here in the last year with the wife and she did not enjoy it for whatever reason. I do remember the rough being very tall like they had not mowed it and at least a week or more, but it was the end of May. Yeah, the grass was at least 6 inches last year but this year see most of the course was mowed the rough that is. And they were at least 4 to 6 guys working on the course so. I zip through a nice older couple from Texas on the fourth or fifth hole and that was it smooth sailing followed another single and he was moving good so I was done in 2 1/2 hours. Yeah it’s a pretty long drive up here from northern Kent County about an hour and 10 minutes roughly, but with GolfNow and golf my points I only paid $5.78 so of course I spent more on gas so but whatever I played El Dorado a few weeks back and that’s very nice also and I scored a pretty good deal there and thank God for GolfNow cause it’s saving me a ton of money.
Gentleman in the clubhouse was a real nice guy. I had a great golf cart had a ton of power gasoline as far as the course has been it’s better than it was last year so I’m gonna greens have some burnout and some most of the traps are decent, but there are several that have weeds and what not in them. It’s funny how they they just can’t get it all up to snuff but fairways for the most part or nice future dried out spots greens for the most part were decent, but yeah, it’s been a hot dry summer so it’s been tough to keep courses up, but yeah, I gotta give kudos to the superintendent. Talk to him for a Minute And I would say if I can keep scoring deals like this. It’s worth a good hour drive for this course being built in the 50s it has a ton of character.
A gem in Cadillac
This is a very nice, challenging golf course in northern Michigan overlooked by many players on a golf vacation, and it's a real value with Golf Now.
Maintenance issues
Sand bunkers are becomg weed bunkers due to a lack of maintenance. The greens on the back mine are getting some type of disease.
Fun course to play
Mostly in good shape. Several sand traps overgrown with weeds and some of the greens were in rough shape. No food or beverages available for purchase. The ladies tee boxes need some help!
It’s inexpensive
Greens are in rough shape, but it’s pretty cheap and you can usually get on here when everyone else is busy. Okay course for casual golfers and families.
Fun course
Not a bad course like people make it out to be. Yes a couple greens are in rough condition and a few bunkers, but they do their best for their golfers to make it playable. Overall a decent fun course.
Could be so much better!
Great layout and amazingly Friendly staff are the positives. I certainly wouldn’t pay full price with the current course conditions. Some of the greens are in very bad shape with disease. Trees are very over grown and rough is longer than the us open. No beverage cart on a Saturday and half way house was closed. Curlys restaurant was also closed. No where for our large group to eat. Course lost a lot of money by not having any food or drinks other than the clubhouse. Clubhouse you only see on the 1st and last home! Needs some TLC.
