Gull Lake View Golf Resort
About Gull Lake View Golf Resort
Since the 1960s, the Scott family has transformed 2,000 acres in southwest Michigan into one of America's largest golf resort communities. Situated in the appropriately named Augusta, Michigan, near Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, Gull Lake View Golf Resort has become synonymous with affordable packages where golfers stay in comfortable villas to enjoy six different courses, all from different eras. The East and West courses were built in the mid-1960s and mid-1970s, with the two Stonehedge courses added later in 1989 and 1994. The family bought the Bedford Valley, a classic course known for hosting tournaments, in 1988 and then put the feather in the cap, debuting the linksy Stoatin Brae by Renaissance Golf Design in 2017. Those who fall in love with the experience can buy real estate in one of several neighborhoods.Facts

Nice links setup
The course was in great shape and well maintained. It was a nice test of golf. It was playable but still challenging. I would recommend giving it a try.
Covid - 19 rules. Limited amenities
Very nice course well maintained
Gull Lake View West
Of the Gull lake view courses it is probably the worst kept. The back nine has a couple rough holes that need work and have been neglected. The greens roll true but are slow. Nice layout. Very playable with enough challenging aspects to make it enjoyable for every skill level.
Over Rated
I personally feel that the course is over priced because it’s not very well maintained. The par 3 tee boxes were chewed up, with no maintenance on the turf. Playing surface outside the fairways are very hard and full of weeds. The Driving range is pathetic tees are the smallest I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
The marketing and advertising is misleading.
It’s not possible for this course to be rated as top 5 in Michigan !!!!.
One of my favorites
Beautiful day today. This course is easily one of my favorites. Love the tree lined fairways and the elevation changes. Didn’t have my A or B game today but still enjoyed the round.
The course was in beautiful shape and was vert enjoyable to play , will return
Very nice course
Feels like Pinehrurst #2. Greens are challenging.. need to play like in Scotland.. run up the ball else difficult to hold the green.. 4 putted the first hole and then realized the difficultly..
fair course..
Fun course
Different than we normally see....the heather is thick but the fairways are forgiving. The local rule is basically “drive and drop” if you hit in the heather...keeps play moving...our group only hit three balls into it so, it didn’t come into play much. Fairways and greens are very firm which actually turned out to be a fun thing. The greens are big, hard, fast and confusing. But really fun to putt on I would go back here in a heartbeat. Lots of fun holes. Our rate on “golf now” was $54. Normal rate is about $80....we never waited on on group but we teed off at 11. I think the resort guests probably tee off earlier in the day and then early afternoon so they can get 36 in...one thing I’ve never seen in my life. They put yellow “proof of purchase” stickers on their beer to make sure you don’t bring your own! Hahaha. Must have been a problem in the past. And a (or 6) $5 coors light helps pay the bills! Very fun though. 215 yard par 3 followed by a 340 yard par four...
Great Course
Paid $53 for it. Great price. Pace was good and conditions were good too. Decently challenging but pretty easy to find your back if you missed a fairway.
Great course
First time playing here and had a wonderful time! Would recommend trying.
Nice tract
Played the North course for the first time. Course is in very nice shape. Greens were in excellent condition and putted true. Nice mixture of holes. Unique in that it has 6 par 3, par 4 and par 5 holes. Worth a play for sure.
Best test in Kalamazoo
We had the first tee time and it was great. My only complaint is that the snack shop wasn’t open at the turn. It’s available at 3 different points in the round and was not staffed during any of those times we passed it. Thankfully though, the bathroom portion WAS open, which was appreciated.
Overall, awesome course and a tough challenge.
