About Gull Lake View Golf Resort
Since the 1960s, the Scott family has transformed 2,000 acres in southwest Michigan into one of America's largest golf resort communities. Situated in the appropriately named Augusta, Michigan, near Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, Gull Lake View Golf Resort has become synonymous with affordable packages where golfers stay in comfortable villas to enjoy six different courses, all from different eras. The East and West courses were built in the mid-1960s and mid-1970s, with the two Stonehedge courses added later in 1989 and 1994. The family bought the Bedford Valley, a classic course known for hosting tournaments, in 1988 and then put the feather in the cap, debuting the linksy Stoatin Brae by Renaissance Golf Design in 2017. The pace of play on a Saturday afternoon was shockingly horrible even with a Ranger driving around. We had a 2 some in front of us that we waited for on each tee box on back 9 for 5-10 min. It took us 5 hours to play 18 when we should have been done in less than 4. Very frustrating but probably more a personal frustration than a course issue. Greens were in perfect shape and course and staff were excellent

Pace was a bit slow. When we were on the 18th hole there were 4 other groups on the hole. One on the green that was the apparent hold up, two groups in the fairway waiting and two groups waiting on the tee. Some ranger assistance would be nice to keep the pace moving.

Lots of Shots to Hit
Fun course with great changes in layout. Forces the longer hitter to utilize more clubs in the bag which I always appreciate. Rewards a good approach as well and accurate wedge play. Very accommodating staff which isn't surprising for a GLV resort course. Will glady play again.
