Great course and great. Alve
We have e played this course many times and it’s alwaus in great shape and the staff is very friendly.
Would highly recommend !!
Good value
We enjoyed the course. My husband played from the white and I played from the red. The rough is unforgiving so straight down the middle is critical. Greens were good. Would have liked a clearer 150 marker in most holes.
Excellent Course!
Played late in the day, mid-week. Breezed around the course with no problems. Course is in excellent shape. Must play for those visiting in the Bellaire area.
One of the best
This is one of the best courses in the area. Course is meticulously maintained. Greens are true. Always enjoy it here.
Wonderful play it!
I've played Hawk's Eye since it opened with 9 holes years ago. Refer to my review 6/14/17 as well. Course is in the best shape I've seen it in several years. The sand traps are being maintained and in much better shape than last year. If you're at Shanty Creek or staying in this area highly recommend a play here. It's a really fun NoMI layout with great views, ups and downs, interesting green complexes and plenty of challenge. Good clubhouse and facilities. Nice folks who value your golf dollar. 4.5 stars.
Beautiful course
Elevation and layout of holes are designed well. Course was is amazing!! The shape of the course and the views are incredible!
Beautiful Course
Have enjoyed the beauty of this course before but have to say, the course was in excellent condition for just opening 2 weeks ago. Thoroughly enjoyed our day.
Best In Northern Michigan
Hawk's Eye is and has always been a great golfing experience. The course is challenging but is player friendly because of the great layout. The staff is amazing and is very attentive to your every need. Beautiful Northern Michigan course with great scenic views everywhere. Everyone needs to make this a stop every time they are golfing in Northern Michigan.
Amazing
The course is in beautiful condition, the staff is very friendly, their restaurant is closed for the season other then that we couldn't have asked for anything more. Great layout, great conditions and great weather all added up to a great day.
Hawks Eye
Have always loved this course. Always play it when we come up to shanty. For what they charge for a round u wish the carts were a little nicer!
Great value, everything was in great shape for this time of year.
Challenging Course
We played Cedar River and The Legend before taking on Hawk's Eye.
The conditioning wasn't quite as good as the other two (seemed to be a little crabgrass and a few dandelions here and there) but it was still very nice.
I thought the layout was good...but make sure you play the right tee boxes. This was a good example of a course that could have used "composite" tees. The whites were way too long for me at 6300 yards and the yellow tees seemed a little short at 5600. It seemed like a lot of these holes played harder than their yardages...three of the four par threes were playing at over 180 yards and it seemed as though a lot of the holes played uphill (we also were getting no roll because of rain overnight).
I also seemed to find a sand trap on almost every hole.
Overall, I would definitely play this course again. It was a great value for the money.
Disappointed
I've played Hawk's Eye at least a dozen times and it's a beautiful layout.....but in an area full of beautiful courses it sure would've been nice to know that the greens had been prepared for winter and were not very playable....would've chosen another course having said that customer service was the worst I've ever seen....girl in the pro shop didnt know what she was doing and the girl in the snack bar was worse...called to order something for the turn on 9 tee and was voice mailed and told to leave a message....wth!
Beautiful Course
Very impressed with the staff. Course layout was fantastic. They had just aerated the greens. Did not get to experience the true guality of the greens. The staff did warn us about them. Enjoyed the par 3's. Like to play it again.
Hawks Eye Bellsire Michigan
Beautiful course. Nice layout. We enjoyed playing it.
Beautiful course
This was an awesome course! It was raining and cold most of the round but I didn't stop because I wanted to keep playing! Rolling hills and elevation drops are the greatest characteristics of this course! Pretty challenging greens as well, some are pretty big in size.
