About Inn at St. John’s
This unique property became a golf resort in 2006 when the former St. John's Provincial Seminary reopened as the Inn at St. John's, a boutique, four-diamond property adjacent to the 27-hole Brae Burn Golf Club. The 118-room inn features Romanesque architecture, two ballrooms with 25-foot ceilings, a two-story atrium and 22 meeting rooms. The more casual Burger Loft complements the fine dining 5ive Steakhouse and Bar. The course, dating to 1923 before a third nine was added in the 1990s, shares its site with Carl's Golfland at St. John's, one of the country's premier golf stores. There's also a covered, heated range at Carl's to bang balls year-round to prepare for your battle with "The Monster" - the nickname for the 666-yard 13th hole, the longest par 5 in the state.Facts

Brae Burn
Haven't played the course this year & found the course conditions absolutely perfect. Several in our group felt it was the best conditions we've encountered in the last several years. Greens, fairways & rough in extremely playable condition. Can't wait to return
The Worst Course In MI
The most underwhelming course you will ever play and pull up on. Landfill across the street, overgrown practice range and sad looking clubhouse. Staff was rude upon arrival. Not worth the $42. Save your money and find another public course. Par 70 that was playing at four + hour pace. Paid for 18 and wanted to quit at 9 due to frustration of watching groups wait for greens to clear from 250+. Mgmt laughed at me when I asked for 9 holes back after wanting to stop and go home. Very unprofessional staff that must start at the top which is not surprising after seeing the lack in care in the facilities. You can score here but set your expectations low on everything else.

Ok
Nice course layout with interesting greens. There is a garbage dump in the background, visible on certain holes. Cart paths are in extremelly poor condition with potholes everywhere, better to just not drive on it. No ball washers on any holes. Greens are pockmarcked with divots. It is a very pretty course and fun to play but still exudes a feeling of disrepair

fun course
A good course for average golfers in that fairways are generally wide, few traps, but a few "ditches" across the fairway in front of greens

Greens were challenging!
Most of the greens seem to have a severe downhill slope to a water hazard.

Good but
Overall this is a ood course. The course has US Open speed greens can cause some problems when combined with extremly sloped greens. Balls will fall off if you make a misread or don't get the ball all the way to the hole.
Don't be above the hole you can easily go past and off the green.

Greens are ridiculous
Unfair contours on majority of greens. Double dogleg 5 par seem gimmicky.
