About Inn at St. John’s
This unique property became a golf resort in 2006 when the former St. John's Provincial Seminary reopened as the Inn at St. John's, a boutique, four-diamond property adjacent to the 27-hole Brae Burn Golf Club. The 118-room inn features Romanesque architecture, two ballrooms with 25-foot ceilings, a two-story atrium and 22 meeting rooms. The more casual Burger Loft complements the fine dining 5ive Steakhouse and Bar. The course, dating to 1923 before a third nine was added in the 1990s, shares its site with Carl's Golfland at St. John's, one of the country's premier golf stores. There's also a covered, heated range at Carl's to bang balls year-round to prepare for your battle with "The Monster" - the nickname for the 666-yard 13th hole, the longest par 5 in the state.Facts

would play often if I lived closer
Simple layout. Very forgiving course. Very receptive, soft greens. Many greens had 3 tiers and the breaks were fun. Tons of un-repaired divots and spike marks unfortunately. Course needs to add maps on the tee markers or scorecards for the blind tee shots.

Brought back memories!
Hadn't played here in around 40 years, fun track. Greens and tees were excellent. Collene in the clubhouse was so good, funny and attentive. I told all my golf buddies that we need to play here more.

Unplayable
I’m saying this course is unplayable in good way. Make sure you hit the green in the right spot because if you don’t it’s rolling off. Fast greens/ slopes/ the whole 18.

Great Value Course
Fun little track that’s apparently been around for 100 years. Loved the old clubhouse and course was in great shape. Pace of play couldn’t have been better, felt like we had the whole course to ourselves. Cannot beat the price for a Monday afternoon. Very much looking forward to returning

Aerated greens
Middle of May and the greens are aerated, makes for a bad round and a waste if money. Spend it elsewhere

Do your job
We booked a time for 4 people, but a friend wanted to bring a girlfriend so we called about the extra cart to which they told us it would cost extra and we said no problem. Show up, and the outing that started 6 hours ago is still huddled around the practice green hogging carts not doing anything. Instead of going and saying something to the group, the man behind the counter just vented about the issue to our group and told us they didnt have enough carts for us to take an extra, even though we had called ahead and asked and were told yes. We then proceeded to have 1 player walking from shot to shot on each hole. Partially our fault, but dont tell us you have a cart for us and then complain to us about why you dont have the extra cart instead of actually proactively doing anything about it. Pace of play was horrendous, a 5 hour round in the late afternoon, front 9 took us 3 hours.
