Manistee National Golf & Resort

About Manistee National Golf & Resort
The 42-room Manistee National Golf and Resort is another Michigan bargain that sometimes gets lost in the shuffle among the state's crowded golf resort scene. Its two courses, Cutters Ridge and Canthooke Valley, are very enjoyable cart rides through northern Michigan. The addition of an outdoor pool and hot tub have made the inn more hang-out friendly. The restaurant in the clubhouse, the Wanagan Grille, never disappoints.Facts

Challenging Course but Fun
Great layout at Cutters' Ridge. This is a course that will test every club in your bag . Several holes have forced carries to greens over ponds or marshes. Greens roll true and are surprisingly quick, especially after playing the other course on property. Conditions on this course were not as good as on Canthooke, but nothing concerning - more to do with irrigation than anything. I would play this again anytime.
Great Experience
Great experience from the minute I got out of my car. I didn't even have my spikes on and they had a cart to my car so I could easily load my clubs. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pro shop was well stocked, and staff was friendly. Course was in beautiful shape, even in areas where they had recently re-seeded or cleaned up bunkers. Greens weren't overly fast, but rolled true. I would play again, highly recommended.
Great value for the money!
This is a great local golf course in the Ludington/Manistee area. It’s always in good shape, and rarely overcrowded. Definitely recommend!
Excellent Course condition
The course was in excellent condition. Well maintained. Practice area is large and allows you to work on all your shots. The weather was great and greens held shots nicely. Pace of play was perfect even when you had to look for an occasional ball. Staff outside at club drop was very friendly. The pro shop didn't really seem to care if you were there. But nice enough wasn't mean or anything.
Canthooke
Staff were friendly with excellent service. The course was in very good condition. Pace of play was good. Highly recommend this course to all.
Beauty
Great course
Great day in Manistee
Staff was friendly from beginning to end, extremely helpful. From the cart boy to the starter you felt they were there to make your day better.
The course was in good shape with the greens running a little slow. The course is of average length with fare bunkering and layout. Low handicappers may not be fully challenged but not bored. The average golfer should enjoy a round on this northern Michigan course
The National
Excellent course, excellent service...Friendly staff
Fun course!
Really fun course to play... a little more challenging then Canthooke Valley next door.
Grounds are always in nice condition.
It was in the mak8ng of a great round until it down poured on US on the 6th hole and we had to quit.
Great course
Great concourse for beginners and experienced golfers . Excellent condition.
Top notch
Well maintained course. Fairways and greens in top notch shape.
Best course for the Money in Manistee M.I.
I love coming to National. It is convienent for me it is a half mile from my house. With having 6 kids that is a big plus. The course itself sends it over the top. I have also played many different courses all the way up to Interlochen. Manistee National can not be beat for all around conditions a deal!
