The Otsego Club, which started out as Michigan's first private ski club, is made up of four different lodges, totaling 68 rooms, and chalets. The Bavarian-themed resort offers 36 holes at The Classic and The Tribute, designed by Rick Robbins and Gary Koch. At the heart of the resort is the award-winning Duck Blind Grille, which overlooks the Sturgeon River Valley. It has been recognized with the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.Facts

Beautifully maintained
We played the Classic Course at Otsego Resort in Gaylord. The course is in excellent condition! It was a pleasant surprise to play on such beautifully maintained fairways and greens. If there is not a course map on your cart, be sure to ask for one in the pro shop because it is easy to get confused with the back nine and front nine often side by side. That is a minor problem though and shouldn’t deter anyone from playing here. You won’t regret it!
One of my favorites
The Tribute is one of my favorite courses. Nice varied layout with some open, almost links styled holes, some tree lined, some dramatic elevation changes, etc. Overall the course was in great shape with the only negative being the rocks in the the traps.
Classic, Gaylord
Played course because of a fantastic deal. Would play number of other courses around Gaylord before playing again. Course layout keeps you guessing where the next hole is.
Bring a seat cushion
Course in great shape!! Friendly staff!!! Cart paths in rough shape. Great value for you $’s!!
Great course with great views.
Absolutely great and would rate 5 stars instead of 4 if they actually cared to take care of their bunkers. Plenty of unranked bunkers and unkept bunkers with tons of rocks and large stones. Would come back again but not worth the 120 rate with the bunkers left the way they are.
It was a slow paced. They let groups of 6 and 9 play together. Nice people, though. They let me play through. Decent course. Nothing spectacular.

Nice up north course with a variety holes and difficulties
Challenging greens. Fun course
Enjoyed our round on the Classic. Course was in good shape. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend playing there.
Slow day
Good course for the money. Looking forward to the fall for a “more colorful’ round
Great Gaylord course
A great course just out of town, with lots of elevation changes and superb greens. It’s well worth the daily rate for this tract.
Northern Michigan golf at its best
A challenging course that’s always in great condition and one of my favorites. I live north of Houston Texas so we don’t get very much in elevation change. The tribute has it all, fast greens, perfect fairways, and moderate rough. I play it once a year when I come north, always around the middle of July
Looks like you did not break shooting 100. Rate the Course not how you hacked it up. Take a lesson!!!!!
