Incredible course!!
We LOVED this golf course!! Such a great layout and the greens are amazingly challenging! The green fees are a steal for this beautiful course.
A Little Pricey
I’ve always liked Atikwa but they’ve gotten expensive. You can go to Greystone in Sauk Centre for 18 holes and a cart for $39 M- Over $70 at Atikwa.
They could take some of that money and put some love into their cart paths and parking lot. The staff at the course are super friendly.
Carts are a little rough, bridges could use some work (DNR restrictions hurt I understand), but the course is in great shape - fairways and greens in good shape, very little weed infestation, nice and green. No dead areas.
Good challenge
Just an average golfer high 90s this course was excellent for me where it had wow that looks tough tee shots but where I couldn’t make the shot either. Want to play it again. Take my usual foursome up here and play our game. Having fun while making good shots to beat the other three.
A course that's been neglected
For years I've been driving 80 miles to play this course 2-3x per year. New management of the resort have decided to neglect some of the upkeep on it. My guess is to make room for more condos, because the rough was US Open Championship level but riddled with weeds.
The holes were over grown with grass around the cups that should have been replaced a week ago, The Cart died 3-4x during the round and sputtered to start, and the "tee boxes" looked like a driving range after high school kids were practicing their wedge play.
I'm seriously disappointed that one of my favorite courses has started to decline. That being said I probably won't be coming back until I hear it has changed. In the parking lot, other golfers shared the same sentiment. I asked, "How did your round go?" Replied: "It's been better." and pointed at the course.
Booking
Only complaint was booking a tee time. Website through your business charged $10.00 at the time I booked it. Called the phone number multiple times but couldn’t get anyone to answer. “Line busy”. I would have preferred to book directly without the fee.
