First Time
The course was in excellent condition! No beverage cart. The foursome in front of us had a toddler with and they were chasing the kid around every green which really slowed up pace of play. Very frustrating and no Ranger to move them along. No staff in clubhouse until 8:30am on Sunday morning and therefore the phone rings and rings and rings. No automated system or answering machine. Only one employee (Austin) was seen during our whole round. Austin was nice but had no one to help him while he was mixing drinks. I would definitely golf this course again, but I’d also pack my own beverages.
Wooded wonderland.
We had a wonderful round of golf. Plenty of shade with all the trees . We even saw a fox cross one of the greens.
Glen
Course was in great shape
Club house staff was awesome. It was all around a fun round of golf!
First time in this course
Course was under 6,000 yds from whites so we played the blues. There were several tee boxes on the blues that were over 200 yd carries over swamp/water so we played whites on those. Greens were a little long.. Cary paths just dirt paths with no asphalt or gravel. Many par 4’a and 5’s with dog legs. Overall I’d give a 3.5 rating. Decent value at $40 for golf and cart.
Above average course
Loved the layout and some of the holes. Conditions were good. Few holes they didn’t have white tee marks or just one, which I thought was odd
OK, but our cart died on #17
In general, conditions were okay on the course. Greens were in good shape, but pretty much your typical Minnesota course with plenty of clover in the fairways.
Unfortunately our cart died on hole #17. No effort by clubhouse to make it up to us in any way.
Fun little course
Overall, it was a fun course. Greens & fairways were in decent shape. Seemed a little pricey for what you get. Also, trying to make a tee time online showed only twosomes available from 8-11am (we were 3), but there was like NOBODY on the course when we teed off. Made for a fast round, but we just as easily have done this an hour or two earlier in the cooler part of the day. Last—I rented clubs. Disn’t even have a full set (really? ) and worse, the clubs were not cleaned of the dirt and mud from precious renter. That shouldn’t be asking too much.
Still, I will play there again when in Alexandria.
Average Course WAY too expensive
It’s a nice layout. Conditions are average to below average depending on the hole. Tee boxes are mostly trashed. Riding 18 is $75 after taxes. Not worth it. There are MUCH nicer courses for the same $.
Not my favorite experience
It is early but I don’t think the course had seen a. mower yet. Lots of debris on the ground, lots of ground under repair and poorly marked. No tee markers or yardage markers. Greens were in good condition. Cart was dirty - like just out of storage. Fortunately we had the deal of the day because no way was the round worth full price.
