If one plays as a single, finding your ball in the rough can be very,very challenging. Grass cut jjust high enough to hide the ball. Otherwise great layout.

The course was in good conditions. played pretty good. Pace of play was slow. Took just under 5 hours to play 18. During the afternoon heat of the day was not to enjoyable. All the water coolers on the course were bone dry and the beverage cart only came around 1 time the entire 18. Staff in pro shop seemed to bust to help. I would recommend this course to others but would tell them to stay at the Hotel to hopefully get better hospitality

I haven’t played The Refuge in almost 30 years desire a couple of days ago. It have been greatly improved. The fairways are beautiful and the greens putt true. It is a little more narrow than most courses I play usually but that just helps work on my game. This is more of a personal benefit but it is only about 40 minutes from my house and by far the nicest course within that drive distance. I joined the Troon program so I could receive the discount for playing there because I will make this my go-to golf course.

Conditions were great. Layout was great. When the food menu pops up after the 6th hole, be sure to place your order. the kitchen was pretty slow getting food out after nine holes.

Got rained out on 12 but they gave me credit to come play 9.

We love this course and in fact it's worth driving two hours to play it. For being mid-summer, the course and greens are in great shape. Pace of play was brutal because there were two golfers playing by themselves and not being paired up and a twosome was in front of them. Other than that, fairways and greens

Last minute decision to play golf. I’m so glad this course had available tee times. The day I played was cart path only due to amount of rainfall the night before. This did not prevent me from enjoying the course and its layout.

Course in poor condition, apparently from snow damage. Green are horrible.
