Poorly managed. Many of the staff were just standing around talking instead of getting balls to the range and helping with drinks, etc.
Dissapointed
The course is in bad condition. Greens half dead, water logged. Carts barely go up hills, Staff Nasty, unfriendly, follow you all over the course telling you what to do . Way Overpriced for Condition of course. Be prepared to walk up hills ALOT !
Course not taken care of.
This place needs a lot of work. The range is dry and they are just letting it die. The putting green is the worst I’ve ever seen. Can’t even really describe it. The course needs water as it’s burnt in most places. There are many better options in this area.
Good layout
Course has a lot of well designed holes and requires some thought when it comes to strategy. Well known water issues still evident in places but the fairways were very nice if you’re hitting from where you’re supposed to be hitting from. Greens had some bare spots on a couple holes but they were fast and true.
Best Hot Deal at the Lake of the Ozarks
I’ve always wanted to play The Cove and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The service in the Clubhouse was fantastic and it was a really fun and challenging layout. I waited till the day of to book on Golf Now and we got $140 for a group of four. You’re not going to find a better deal at the lake period!
Save your money, course is in terrible condition, they should be ashamed of charging $80 a round. One of the greens had 2 standing puddles of water, the fairway on the last par 5 was covered in range balls as the range is right next to it. Most greens had massive dead spots.Terrible course.
The Cove
First time play, course offers numerous challenging holes, especially the long par 3 holes.
Day on the corse
Have played most of all the courses in the area and always enjoy playing. It is not an easy course and even if it does not look long, it have plenty of hard holes and difficult greens. If was in average condition has a nice staff. We did not see a beverage cart, but it might just have been that day!
Great course
Beautiful golf course. Only negative thing is the cart paths are very rough and very bumpy.
Decent course with horrid pace of play
After 9 holes, we mentioned to the Marshall that it took 2 hours 45 minutes. We waited every hole, often 3 groups on a hole. He said that sounds right. Obviously, the course just wants your cash and could care less about the experience. Unfortunately, we would NOT recommend playing this course to real golfers in spite of a decent layout.
Great get away
My friends and came down for a golf outing. The staff was very friendly and the course was on great shape. It is a must play at the lake
Find another course if you can
unless the price is under $30 go elsewhere and even at the discount realize this course is in BAD shape. probably shouldn’t even be open
No Marshalling in afternoon! 5 hour round
We knew it was a beautiful day and everyone would be out on the course. There was a marshal early on the front 9 who said there was a slow group only playing 9 holes. We were moving reasonably well until we hit #10, there were 3 sets of golfers all the way until 18, so it made it an awful experience. Never saw a marshal on backside at all. Lot's of guys in scramble just drinking alot and not playing in a reasonable pace. You would have thought that would have been quicker, but they were all just messing around. Not fun and not coming back. To make it worse when I got back to the clubhouse, to use the rest room it was closed!
