On the comeback
The Oaks is on the comeback after years of sliding. Hope Jimmy Buffet has a heart for golfers. Course conditions are much improved and the layout has always been good. We had severe slow play ahead of us on the back 9 and that sucked the fun out of the experiment. Pro shop and concession area are much improved. Let’s hope the course gets back to its full potential.
Great for the price
This course is a challenge, with hardly a flat fairway or straight putt, but the grounds were in perfect condition. The greens were extremely fast and the tee boxes and fairways were nice. If you get this on a hot deal, it is hard to beat the bang for your buck. The staff are excellent and even load your clubs for you.
Worth the money
Nice and fair course, but need some course knowledge to score well.
Fun but Challenging
The course is very fun to play, especially for the challenge. Fairways are tight so you have to be accurate. You also have to decide when to lay up and when to go for it.
Fantastic!
Course in great shape for spring golf. Love the topography of this course. You can’t play anything close to this in St. Louis for the money.
Course was great but staff made the experience really great.
Beautiful fall day, people staffing the course were all friendly and helpful. Thanks to them. Course was in great shape. It was a wonderful time.
Storm damage !
The course was in ok shape , they took a heck of a hit on some storm damage to trees ! They just really didn't have time to clean it up yet . So overall it was a good time.
Great experience
The course was in great shape. My only “complaints” would be that the greens were very fluffy and abnormally slow! Also, it was a very hot day and we never saw a cart girl throughout the entire round. Other than that, it’s a scenic course that challenges you and forces you to hit good shots. I will definitely be back.
Course was in great condition.
Little hard to find the actual club house at the resort but everything at the course was great. Staff was nice and helpful, course was in good condition, and was able to play at the pace I wanted. Would definitely play again!
Tan Tar
This was an extremely nice course to play. We followed 4 women and waited most holes but they move pretty well. Course was in awesome shape nice fairways and smooth greens. Id give it a 10 and I am considering playing it again before I go home.
Enjoyed the afternoon
Played with son and grandson beautiful day it’s avgre layout but reall just average condition staff was friendly and price was fine
WET - No Discount
This is a nice little course. Well maintained. Unfortunately, it rained buckets the day of our outing. We tried to cancel, but they would not let us. As far as we could tell there were only two foursomes on the course. It was cart path only which was to be expected. obviously conditions were terrible. Wish we could have re-booked for a different day. I'm sure the course plays well when it is not soaked.
great elevated tees and water holes
My brother and I golfed 5 courses in the Osage Beach area and we agreed this was the best course. We golfed in late March and this was in the best condition. We truly enjoyed the elevated tee;s and the water holes were amazing. It was challenging , but not too difficult. A beautiful course and will golf it again on our next trip to Missouri. We came here from Wisconsin to get some spring golf in.
